Great value, home cooked Food. Quick friendly service. Sweet of Bread and Butter Chocolate Pudding, Outstanding, so light and delicious. Recommend J&J,

Very friendly atmosphere, plenty of entertainment going on, large choice of beers and lagers. Chatted with landlady and Barney who were friendly and welcoming.

A group of friends and I visited this restaurant when it was not very busy. It was a charming and cozy pub with a great atmosphere. We had a fantastic time, and Sadie, our server, was extremely friendly and attentive. View menu

We dined at this restaurant after a swim in Sparth with a group of 20 people. The landlady accommodated our specific requests, and the service was excellent. The food was served hot and delicious. Overall, we had a lovely afternoon.

Had the privilege to sample bits from thier menu yesterday, absolutely fantastic. Claire’s (guest chef) cooking skills added to the hospitality of all the staff and landlady of the Railway was exceptional Our first time at the pub and were made to feel like it was our local. Already planning to return shortly.

Stopped in for Sunday lunch, they didn't have a vegetarian option on menu but the girl done something for my wife which was really good of her. Food was lovely both my roast dinner and my wife's vegi meal. Staff friendly and very helpful only thing that stopped me giving it 5 star's is the size of coffee cup maybe bigger cups or free refills. View menu

The Sunday lunch at this restaurant is truly outstanding, with delicious homemade dishes that showcase the best of home cooking. We enjoyed our meal sitting in the beautiful garden at the back, basking in the sunlight. We will definitely return to sample more of the menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making it a great spot for locals in Marsden.

Plastic glasses! Never a good look. The landlady explained why. The Ale Trail. They come in and 'launch ' them and worse. But if her stories and the unbreakable glasses were to make me feel safer, they didn 't. But they weren 't. They were for her and her staff. So we sat wondering if the hooligans would come in. They didn 't. We tried to enjoy our beer and put the thought of violence out of our minds. But we didn 't. We won 't return.

Visited Tuesday 27th December for lunch. Staff appeared not to have a clue. Ordered 2 for £12 off the menu was told couldn't have as was bank holiday. Menu stated offer was Tuesday to Friday no mention of bank holiday. When questioned was told I had 2 choices either pay full price or get a refund. Had to eat as has a child with us. Asked about child menu finally got one which was extremely sparce. The free drink never arrived. Food was OK standard pub food. Won't be visiting again due to the standard of service. View menu
