we often come here and have to know the owners and their employees. all are very beautiful, political and full of laughter. our food and drinks never disappoint us, so delicious.

Party of 12 on a Friday night, pub was very busy, great atmosphere, food was lovely from starters, mains and desserts, staff are very attentive, all in all a great night , well done , we will be back

as disappointing as we were looking forward to the old one today! the best piece was the veg large selection (5) all served nice hot meat medium lamb / bark miner gastender abrupt little personality waiter pleasant enough place dated .,still has xmas decs to grubby -needs stripping out and a new fit out!

We have been coming here for awhile but hadn't been able to visit recently due to Covid situation. We were wondering whether it would be as good as it used to be and I'm glad to say it was. Staff are friendly and the food...is great, the homemade curries are definite favourites. We look forward to going back again soon.

the menu is very extensive with a good selection of set. we had the steak pee and leber and speck. the steak and the leber were very tasty and tasty, but the meals were left off by the frozen chips and the...ready baked. we are not big edators, but both found the small portions. the desserts were also bought and not particularly good. the crumb is not a crumb. I would suggest offering regular and large pieces. we would have liked to have paid extra for a larger teller.

We went for a walk along the Seawall and decided to divert up a small lane to Redwick for a pint. We popped into the Rose Inn for the first time and I was so impressed with the COVID arrangements. If you wanted to sit...outside which we did, you could order from a doorway counter. If you wanted a meal outside there were separate cubicles within 2 wooden buildings plus there were several benches. they asked us to register for track and trace purposes. The toilets for outside customers were in the nearby Village Hall. They seemed to have thought of everything so if you are in the Area give it a try. Added to that I had a couple of excellent pints of London Pride.

My friends and I were on the final day of a 63 day walk around the Welsh coast to raise money for Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice. Needing to start our last day’s walk from Redwick, we asked permission of the landlady to leave our vehicle...in the pub car park. She graciously gave her permission without hesitation. As we were walking through the car park an irate man approached us and asked what we were doing. I explained that we had permission from the landlady to park there. He responded, quite rudely, that he was the landlord, and as we were not customers we needed to move. Congratulations, sir! Reading all the other reviews on this restaurant we must of picked a bad day as the whole experience was dire.Got the feeling as we walked in it was a get them in, get them fed and get them out kinda place. I understand there...are rules because of COVID so they had to keep the windows open but most of us had to sit with our coats on it was so cold.
