"Have visited this pub for Sunday lunch several times and the roast is normally very good with succulent meat fresh veg and lovely crispy roast potatoes and gravy. This evening we pre ordered on their Christmas celebration menu and it was really disapointing The Turkey was tasteless the roastys were overcooked and well steamed so had gone really soft as if they’d been covered and kept warm. . The vegitables were diced swede carrots and pale coloured sprouts. None of it looked like the veg they serve on a Sunday . This cost more than the Sunday roast and was not worth the £26 95 that we paid for 2 courses. We complained to the waitress and she came back and said the landlady was sorry we didn’t enjoy it but she’d had no other complaints We then asked to talk to the landlady and she was very flippant and was not interested in what we had to say. Didn’t really get a satisfactory apology . We certainly won’t be going back in the future ."

Met up with family for a meal and a catch up. Had a Sunday roast which was a great size and very tasty! Every pudding looked amazing.

The restaurant offers delicious home-cooked food, well-kept ale, and friendly staff. While I would give it five stars, there is always room for slight improvement. View menu

Nice local pub with good food. Very busy due to Eat Out, Help Out offer but nice to see a small business flourishing from this incentive. Bit of a wait for food but very good quality and service.

I had an amazing meal at this restaurant. The steak pie was incredible and definitely worth trying. The Eaton mess dessert was also delicious. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you!

The service at the pub was nice, but just okay. I went with a group for a birthday meal. The meals were generally okay, but the mixed grills were not well received. I did not complain because I didn't want to cause any issues on my husband's birthday. I would not say it was good value for money, and I was very disappointed. I would not order again. View menu

The food at this restaurant is amazing. The staff is very friendly. Although my main dish was a bit delayed, they made up for it by giving me complimentary drinks. I will definitely be coming back on a regular basis once the lockdown is lifted. I used to frequent this place often as a child, and it is still just as wonderful as an adult. Keep up the great work!

Today, my family and I had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. We were a party of seven celebrating my birthday. The food was outstanding. My Sirloin steak was cooked perfectly, and so were the steaks of my other two family members. We all enjoyed our meal choices. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. Overall, it was a perfect experience. Thank you! I highly recommend this place. - Helen

"Bacaro is situated in Ocean village and it is a little gem of a place. It is tastefully decorated for a chilled and relaxing time that you will have. There is both a restaurant and bar area and you feel at ease in the place !! Anyway upon arrival you are always greeted with a smile by the happy bar staff which is always lovely I have always loved this place but I would only give a top rating if it deserved it and not through loyalty !! Tonight I had arancini, crayfish linguine and garlic bread, washed down with a lovely glass of house red. The arancini are just the best I have ever tasted, they are both filling but light, the taste is a joy for the taste buds and obviously highly recommended. The linguine is a good portion, I love the flavours and the way the dish is both cooked and presented, the crayfish has a subtle flavour and I never leave any of it. The garlic bread is filling and not dry, they don't skimp on the garlic butter I can't fault the food at all and never have done this is mainly due to the sublime cooking skills from the chefs Greg, Alex and all the wonderful kitchen staff. Bacaro is expertly run the effervescent manager Sophie, for the job you do and how you run Bacaro I tip my hat to you Sophie is well backed up by Matt, Eleanor, Conor, Sindija and all the other wonderful staff ... You make the place and we are grateful for the brilliant jobs you do Very highly recommend"
