"Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant did not meet our expectations. There were several mistakes with our food that detracted from our annual gathering. The portion sizes and quality did not justify the high prices. The children's menu was limited, expensive, and the portions were very small. We will not be returning as we had heard good things about the restaurant, but it did not live up to our expectations."

We tried the Ship inn for lunch, after a wet shopping trip in the town. We were met with a very warm welcome by the staff and the huge open log fire. Food was fabulous, real ale was fantastic. We’ll be taking friends back in a couple of weeks. 10 out of 10 . Dates back to 1592 so fairly new for the old town. Wonderful inside.
