"was here a few times and enjoyed eating. the menu has been extended in the last months. we shared some of the starters; the sprouts with teig balls and the brisket hath. both were very good, preferably the pulpit over the brisket. the brisket is in more a gravy than BBQ sauce and has a slightly bitter, smoky taste. I'd rather prefer a sweeter sauce, as the pulled booze is. the chicken wings are held in a hot sauce, although they can request bbq. we tried a series of meats, our favorite was the pulled pig. I was disappointed at the brisket, because he is no longer cut, but now pulled and, as I said, the sauce must work. the plates are huge and best suited for exchange. their desserts are also really good, and again ideal for sharing. I had the brownie stack that was amazing. we really enjoyed our meal, but it is on the expensive side. starter and desserts are £7, net start from about £13, £20 for plates. we took some meat to go. they also have a koks freestyle machine so drinks are unlimited! they have a selection of steaks that I want to try next time. edible meal. our server was very friendly, but the service is something on the slow side."

Had a great evening last night. I was able to make a reservation and was recognized as a regular customer, even though I go to the coffee shop every day without anyone noticing.

that was our first visit, if I was asked to use a word to describe the smoke pit, it would be tasteful. every dish was an insult on the taste buds. man, and I had that huh and that was gay. next visit will be the cow!

Was hoping to go to the smoke pit for my birthday, but covid had other ideas. So we ordered on line for collection. The food was just as good as we remember from previous visits. The staff were great very helpfull. Would definately order again and recommend to others

Great BBQ food and menu options. I had the platter which was a huge amount to eat, but every part was delicious. My kids had a dessert but really one between them is enough outside of the kids menu, my wife picked a selection of starters for her main including halloumi fries

from all places I was in Britain, this is one of the best steaks by far. the menu is simple. the personal is attentive and the service is amazing. can't go wrong with any court to be honest. they also get a lot more to eat than they expect for the money they pay. highly recommended!

Great place and great food. They have good covid protocols too if you're worried about that.. only criticism is that the music was quite loud and being an old factory type building it carries sound very well.. so found it tricky to have a conversation at times. Otherwise, fab evening!

The best meal I have had in the U.K. Especially in the North Hampton area. They don't open till 6pm but if you're in the area I definitely recommend it. Service was great and the food came out quick. There is a wide variety of beers to choose from and the art is pretty cool to look at.

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
