"The Spring Gardens in Marple Bridge, established in 2016, is the tap house for Fool Hardy Ales, which have been brewed since 2013 at the owners' flagship pub The Hope Inn in Heaton Norris, Stockport. Offering a wide selection of cask ales, craft lagers, continental draught bottled beers, and real cider, this independent boozer provides hearty meals in a refreshing change from typical pub chains. The menu features starters priced between £5-6 and main courses ranging from £8-16.50. One highly recommended dish is the Steak and Fool Hardy dark ale pie served with triple cooked chips and vegetables. The pub has a modern and spacious interior, though the exterior retains an old-fashioned charm. Situated on over 4 acres of land with amenities such as a bowling green, beer garden, car park, and woodland area, it is a family-friendly establishment worth visiting. Food service is available Wednesday to Saturday from 12pm to 9pm, as well as Sundays and Bank holiday Mondays from 12pm to 5pm."

Frankly, I'm overwhelmed by how good the Sunday lunch of roast lamb was. It was high end restaurant quality and I'll certainly be going back

What a lovely pub, very cosy and very personable. The staff are very attentive with their service and make you feel very welcome. I am a pescatarian so I sometimes miss out on all the good stuff that comes with a Sunday dinner ie. rosties..., cauliflower cheese etc

I came here with a friend for a tee the other week. eating is of a similar quality as weatherspoons, it felt microshaft and salat tasted old. the staff looked miserable and often gathered behind the bar to go. it sees. popular with local but not so welcoming for newcomers. will not come back.

that was our half stop on a good walk around werneth low, compstall and marple. we all enjoyed eating beef, fish, cheese and beetle cake (and sausages for our dog). a little wait, but it's worth it. probably a little more expensive...as suggested by ta, above. good choice of ales in glorious condition. the young woman who serves is a great advantage for this place. I had high expectations for this place and it did not disappoint! Great choice of starters, finally narrowed it down to the black pudding stack and it was epic! The roast beef Sunday dinner was even better!! The Yorkshire was perfect, the roasties were buttery...soft and it came with great choice of veggie sides. I could have drunk a full jug of the gravy too. Can’t wait to go back and try some more!!

We stopped at this restaurant during our campervan trip. Overall, it was a decent stop. When we arrived, the parking lot was pretty full due to a bowling game, but after waiting for about 2 hours, we were able to find a spot. Since it was free, we decided to meet up with my sister, partner, and son. The five of us had a nice meal at the pub and enjoyed our time there. I recommend that the owners install an outdoor water tap and provide labeled bins for waste recycling. We will definitely be back to visit again.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
