"My wife and I went for a relaxing evening meal or so we thought, unfortunate we were seated near the bar and because it was a Friday night there was quiet a few contractors in which was no problem in itself of course, I appreciate that the guys had been working all week and just called in for a few drinks, no problem there but noise and the swearing was just not acceptable, but when there are young children around and ladies it is not on. To be fair I did not mention this to the staff because they were very busy but I do think that there should be some limits. The result was that left a lot earlier then we intended and it spoilt our evening."

We had a family gathering with 10 people of mixed ages and everyone was well taken care of. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed.

The Sunday lunch was enjoyable as usual. We liked it. The service was a bit slow because we were seated at the bottom end this time, instead of our usual spot near the fireplace at the top end.

Sunday Roast was very good. Definitely recompensate the duo of Beef. Service was good, attentive and polite. He waited for food for 45 minutes (which was not busy when we ordered), but was excellent when served. Cosy and warm, will repeat.

It was a busy Saturday but early evening, so it was a pity the lamb starter we all asked for was finished. Apart from that, the food was great, drinks needed chasing a couple of times, but otherwise a good evening. £120 for two courses and drinks, reasonable value, nice staff.

Visited on a Saturday night with friends , friendly and helpful staff , busy until about 9.30 ish , food fairly good asked for med steak but more like med rare , enjoyed the starter , pud could have been a bit warmer not overly big portions of all dishes .Overall 7 out of 10 and would return in the future .

The Sunday roast at this restaurant was excellent, especially the duo of beef. The service was also good, with attentive and polite staff. Although we had to wait 45 minutes for our food (even though it wasn't busy when we ordered), the meal was excellent when it was finally served. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, and we definitely plan to revisit this restaurant.
