"Wife's birthday meal. My wife and I wanted a quiet meal away from the hustle and bustle you normally find in around the city, after reading a number of reviews on-line we decided to try The Swan Inn. The meal and service was excellent, nothing felt too much trouble and we were made to feel welcome throughout. As I had read on from peoples reviews the menu does not contain an extensive list of choice however I feel this pub is concentrating on quality in what they do offer rather than quantity. I tried the Lamb, now not being a massive Lamb fan I was sold it from the waiters recommendation/description, I'm glad to say I was not disappointed. My wife had the chicken dish which was equally as good. All in all a lovely meal, great service, reasonable priced which made for a enjoyable evening finished off by sitting on the comfy seats in the bar area. Would definitely recommend and will be returning soon."

Very nice food. Nachos were lovely. Steak was more medium than rare, but tasty. A few more main dishes perhaps. And if the fire had been lit it would have been excellent.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior that is both cosy and classy, with friendly and professional service. However, the food did not meet expectations and was rather expensive.

We had a fantastic time at this welcoming pub when we went with our baby. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. The pizza we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back soon.

The restaurant was excellent as always. It was nice to be recognized by the owner/manager, even though it had been a while since our last visit. The food was first class and they had a fantastic selection of gin. It was our first time trying their Sunday lunch and we enjoyed the good atmosphere.

We came based on reviews online, and it not disappoint! One of the best decorated pubs we've been to, cozy with great ambience. Then the food! Literally the best meal I've had from a restaurant in the past few years. And the hosts were very friendly and professional, this pub deserves all the praise it gets. Just sad we don't live this end of the country or we'd be in here every week!

Had an excellent dining experience at the Swan Inn. We drove from Milton Keynes it took around 20 mins, and I must say that it was well worth the trip. Menu was very simple and uncomplicated. The food was well presented and served quickly, taste was excellent The surroundings were very comfortable and clean, would definitely book again. Many thanks to Gary and Graeme for a great dining experience

Took a chance looking for somewhere decent to grab a good evening meal and treat my other half found the Swan rated highly online so gave it a go was a little tricky to find but when we did besides limited parking the food was great and some of it served in novel ways we had a starter of home made nachos which were the best we have ever had, followed by a tomato and roasted basil soup with croton and a touch of pesto we both agreed the soup was brilliant if not a touch big for us to finish no complaints though better to have more then to be left wanting, then onto our mains veg burger and a 8 ounce steak burger though very nice after eating so much was too much for us both guess s our eyes w...

"Heading to the near Craufurd Arms for a gig and looking for something to eat beforehand we happened across Zouk Lounge quite by accident and as we all enjoy Lebanese food decided to give it a try after first checking that there was plenty of veggie options (which there was) as 2 of our 3 strong party are vegetarian. Gabriella (from Romania) was our charming waitress who seated us and was very informative when it came to enquiring about the various veggie options on offer. She recommended the ‘Lobia’ dish to me (Lebanese spiced whole green beans cooked with fresh tomato sauce) which I then ordered whilst my brother and our friend also choose veggie options and we then decided to share these amongst us all and also decided to add a couple of side dishes. Very impressed with all the food served to us; all freshly cooked, nicely presented, tasted delicious and served to us in a timely fashion. No complaints. After dinner Gabriella enquired if we’d like to relax in their Shisha lounge located at the rear of the restaurant whilst she prepared a shisha pipe and some aperitifs for us. We accepted her offer and retired to the shisha lounge. Once Gabriella had served our aperitifs she enquired as to whether I would like to take control of the music in the lounge over their Bluetooth connection which I gladly excepted and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to stay a little longer for another round of cognac and G T’s before we headed off to the nearby gig; only just arriving before the show started in the end as we’d spent nearly a full 2 hours in Zouk Lounge. All in all, a really enjoyable dinner; fantastic food, a charming and friendly waitress (Gabriella) and a real surprise and extra treat to learn of the shisha bar at the rear of the restaurant after our meal. We will definitely be back for a return visit the next time we are in the area."
