"On entering the premises we were greeted with a friendly approach. The owner introduced herself and took our order. We had a small breakfast which came with tea. It was made all from scratch so waited about 10 minutes for the cooked breakfast but the tea came out immediately. It was lovely and just the right size for myself. They are very dog friendly which is why I have never been before as the previous owners were not dog friendly. I sent a message before I arrived so that I new I could take my dog which was answered straight away. I will be returning 10/10 Little tip ….. a jar of dog treats would be nice."

Lovely little cafe. Friendly staff. Extensive menu but really reasonable prices. Dog friendly, ours was treated like a king! Sunny terrace peacefully hidden away from the main high street.

We've visited the Terrace Cafe a few times when we go to the Wednesday market. The food is always good and great customer service. Always friendly locals in the cafe. You have to look out for the cafe as it's down an alley and you could easily miss it. View menu

Simply furnished cafe with super friendly and efficient staff. Nicely cooked and presented full English. For £7 a head you get two of everything including tea and toast which, given the quality is exceptional value for money. Well worth a visit and would not hesitate to recommend.

Visited today for lunch with some relatives. Lovely cafe tucked away just off the main Street in Northallerton. We all had sandwiches or toasties which were made with the loveliest of bread, with fresh salad, coleslaw and crisps on the side. Very friendly, helpful staff who brought a bowl of water for our dog. Thoroughly recommend! View menu

Family-run cafe with a caring attitude. Food is freshly made and well-presented. Cyclists, dogs and children all welcome with high-chairs and special menu requests handled with patience). Specials listed inside are worth checking out: recent offers of chilli-cheese-burger yummy), pork and apple sauce butty ahhh), and the amazing Hunters Chicken Wrap! This hidden gem of a cafe is the place to head for in Northallerton.

Visited Northallerton 16th March on a coach trip, for the first time in many years. Found this cafe on Trip Advisor before setting off, and decided to try it. Tucked away down an alley but well worth seeking it out. Very friendly, welcoming staff. I had a bacon, chicken, lettuce and mayo wrap. My husband had a cheese and ham toasty. Both meals were beautifully presented, with salad, crisps and coleslaw. Best quality ingredients. There were several local people eating here so that speaks volumes!

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
