"We had lunch here on a rainy day in the highlands having read the rave reviews. And this is another addition to the universal acclaim. This is a very welcoming and bright space well suited to the current restrictions. Tables inside and outside and pleasant views. The quality of the food was outstanding everything cooked to order and prepared with love. We had a range of food: smoked mackerel pate, chicken wings, smoked haddock with sautéed potatoes and cheese sauce (really comforting), lasagne (home made so not brake brothers special in a ceramic dish) followed by some great cakes. All very good value. We said we would come back and here we are now having breakfast."

This is such a lovely wee restaurant . Lots of lovely gifts to buy as well. Very clean and tidy. Plenty to choose from on menu, something for everyone’s tastes. We had the days special steak baguette , salad and fries , it was delicious. Latte coffee was lovely too. Very reasonably priced. Definetly return.

The food at this restaurant is of excellent quality and the staff are friendly. There is the option to dine both indoors and outdoors at this small restaurant. We were pleased to see a selection of local products for sale and were able to browse after our meal. I tried their specialty dish, fried haggis, and found it to be delicious.

This charming little rest stop is located just outside the busy town of Fort Augustus. The service is very friendly and there is a delightful gift shop with a quirky and unique atmosphere. Enjoyed a refreshing cup of tea with great views. Would definitely come back, perhaps next time for a meal. Well worth the visit. The women's restroom was immaculate and matched the theme of the gift shop.

Stayed here overnight in our motorhome as Jaggy Thistle is part of BritStops. Keith was very friendly and helpful. Shop has a fantastic selection of lovely gifts and wonderfully scented lotions and potions. Very reasonably priced menu. We arrived at the wrong time of day for a meal but had some lovely toasties, chips and cakes. Would definitely visit here again if we are on the A82 in the future. Someone was booking for a Sunday lunch and it sounded good so we might just have to plan a weekend road trip !

We visited the Thistle Stop cafe for lunch and to browse the small gift shop. The owner greeted us warmly and we were impressed by the variety of menus offered, including snacks, lunch, Christmas specials, and the specials board. The cooked brie in grape and pomegranate juice was outstanding as a starter, and the pan fried haddock in cheese sauce for the main course was delicious. We highly recommend the Thistle Stop for its great value, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere. If only all restaurants were as good as this one.
