"Went for Saturday evening meal to use a gift voucher….Wow! Excellent meal, with lots of choice on the menu. Lovely staff all friendly and helpful. I had the Sea Bream followed by Rhubarb Elton Mess pudding and would highly recommend them, delicious and best meal I’ve had for a while. One dinner guest is a vegetarian and finds it challenging to find good vegetarian food and she commented on how good her meal was too! We visited here several years ago and were very disappointed and despite being local we kept away…..it has obviously changed hands now and is now very impressive, vibrant, busy, wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. Book early as is very popular and we definitely return again. Indeed, I have also heard their Brunches are excellent too and worth a visit!"

"Lovely all you can eat chinese food made freshly cooked to order. The portions are really small, so order more than one portion if you want to share a dish. The menu has changed since we last went, they no longer do crispy seaweed or foo yung dishes and you can't order starters at the same time as mains which we used to like to do. The chow mein also doesn't come in sauce anymore so it's not great. Cost about £20 each to eat in on a Friday evening. I recommend takeaway rather than eating in as the menu has/had better choices like chow mein in sauce and the portion sizes were good (unless the takeaway menu has changed as well hope not) Service was fast but we felt rushed and watched and there weren't many smiles from all of the staff. The lady who has been there years was lovely as usual. Parking: Small car park at the rear of the restaurant"

"I've been for breakfast and lunch and love the food and it's very reasonably priced. However, the last couple of times I've tried to go for breakfast, it's been a disaster. First time we didn't book as the booking system had only just been introduced and we were unaware of this. The staff said we could wait in the bar and they would inform us as soon as a table was available. After about 40 mins I enquired if a table was ready and was told they weren't serving anyone else as the kitchen was backed up with orders so we had to leave. Second time, my friend booked a table for 4 of us, it was my Friends birthday so a special occasion. When we arrived we were told there was a function booked and no regular bookings were being taken. We were not told this on booking and our name had been crossed out of the book but no one had thought to inform us! Needless to say we won't be going back. The staff were unapologetic on both occasions. Shame really, we did like the food a lot and the veggie breakfast is especially good."

"I booked the Hyde Park for a family occasion it being my Daughters 40th Birthday. There was 22 for a Sunday Carvery which was just amazing !! Choice of 4 meats everything you would expect to have on a Sunday Lunch but with the added bonus it all has been cooked for you !! Hot food delicious gravy ! Staff are polite helpful and with a few toddlers running round it got a bit hectic but didn’t phase the staff at all despite the Hyde being very busy. Tom was there to oversee everything all went to plan. I would highly recommend the Hyde Park for any family occasion who doesn’t love a Sunday Roast ?? However having a quick peek at the menu the food choice is just Amazing ! Been a few times but not on this scale with family ! Amazing beer garden for the children to burn of steam .. when the weather gets a little warmer . Well Done Hyde Park !"
