"We visited on a warm and busy Sunday evening and ate outside. The venue is right by the junction of the River Trent, River Soar and the Erewash Canal and there are great views from right outside the pub. The doves in the dovecote in the garden dining area are gorgeous, too. For a relatively light tea we each had soup and shared a portion of fries. The soup wasn't very warm but it was tasty and the fries were hot and crispy. I don't like bothering serving staff when they're busy and trying their best. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding but served with honeycomb ice cream instead of custard plus an apple and blackberry crumble with custard and both puddings were excellent. We ordered on their website as suggested on the blackboard in the garden. We used the QR code on the outdoor table and the system worked well, although to make the custard ice cream swap I ordered at the bar just to make sure. Service time was just under half an hour which seemed reasonable for how busy it was. The Trent Lock is a nice pub in a very pretty location and I think we'll be back before long."

Called in this dog friendly pub yesterday with a lady friend (blind date).We had a pint of Neck Oil a piece which was spot on. I ordered fish and chips my lady friend wasn't so hungry and just had a starter.I throughly enjoyed my fish and chips it was wonderful.This is a great pup with a lively atmosphere.Thank you guys you tick all the boxes for me.
