"My husband and I had breakfast at this restaurant yesterday (24/6/22) before heading south. While the food looked fresh, it tasted different once served. The fried bread was very hard, the bacon was dry and crispy to the point that it couldn't be cut and had to be broken like a biscuit, and the scrambled eggs were dried up. The biggest issue was that the hot food was served on cold plates, which is unacceptable. When we ordered tea for 2, we expected 2 pots and 2 cups, but one pot was enough for both cups. I had to ask for a takeaway cup for the second pot of tea, as I didn't want to waste it at £2.40 per pot. We will not be returning to this restaurant."

Very poor quality food. Chips looked and tasted like they were cooked at the start of service and repeatedly reheated. Crockery and cutlery were not properly cleaned. No local/fresh ingredients.

Visited today for lunch while shopping, very friendly staff, and my Turkey with all the trimmings was absolutely lovely, and the mince and onion pie with nice fresh chips was also a hit with my partner, we usually go to the hotel across the road , but will definitely return, highly recommend, View menu

I visited on a quiet afternoon with my grandmother and there were no staff anywhere to be seen. When someone finally spotted us waiting at the counter they spent another 10 minutes looking around the building for somebody else to serve us. Shocking when it’s such a quiet day! Won’t be revisiting.

I recently stopped for a light lunch after shopping. The Baked potato with chili was delicious and quite generous in size. Even the children's portions of a baked potato with cheese were quite sizable. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was very fast. The staff were friendly and pleasant.

The pleasant exterior decor are a masquerade for poor quality food. We had the breakfast menu of a bacon roll. It was served as a dry bun, rock hard butter cold bacon that you made yourself. My wife had a tuna panini off the shelf which was fine. All in All, very poor, but not much competition in the shopping centre View menu

Called in for breakfast (Saturday 2nd) On the face of it dining area clean and fresh looking . Clearly geared for the coach party bookings for its service. Breakfast looked nice and fresh on the buffet counter, but unfortunately when eaten was lukewarm with rock hard fried bread. Price was reasonable but on the whole had better at a service station. Really need to make sure food is piping hot if your doing a buffet for service.

The coffee was served cold and lacked flavor. The macaroni cheese dish was heavy on the cheese and light on the macaroni and pasta. We felt overcharged for an extra portion of the macaroni cheese, as it did not match the amount on our tray. A staff member accidentally dropped chips and salad while serving another table, then proceeded to step over the mess on the way back, leaving it for another staff member to clean up. On a positive note, the sandwich my friend ordered was decent. However, we are still waiting for a refund for the missing macaroni in our dish.

"Myself and my partner where just outside of portpatrick yesterday and wondered about somewhere to have lunch, it was about 12.30pm on a scorching hot Bank holiday Sunday. We hadn’t actually planned to go there to start with but thought why not. I saw on Facebook Connors Restaurant had just uploaded a Facebook post about stopping there for a choice of 2 lovely menus and a cheeky gin, sounded perfect! The post had went up about 15 mins before we arrived, so I assumed they must be looking to take some tables. I walked down and there where 2 tables taken outside, and 1 table inside. I asked if I could get a table for 2 outside if possible and I was told no they had been reserved and I thought okay but before I could even open my mouth again she said all tables inside where also reserved that they where fully booked. There was 1 table inside, other wise it was pretty empty. Ok no problem, we found somewhere else so no big deal, after about 2 hours spent having food and wondering around we went back to the car (parked just up from Connors restaurant) and I noticed again there was only the 1 table outside, and no one at the others. I’m maybe wrong but I felt like this was odd, the inside didn’t look like it was “fully booked” either. It actually looked a little dead compared to everywhere else. This has also happened to my friends a couple of times too they’ve went in and the place has been stone dead but got turned away because of the excuse of being fully booked. Just felt like it was not quite right. Sorry I never usually write reviews but felt like I had to get my point across on this one. We would love to dine here and hopefully will in the future."
