"On the Cask Marque Ale Trail with a fair choice of revolving ales to choose from. Arriving early this day, I asked some patrons, already with pints in hand, what was the trending tipple. Doombar came as a chorus and so it was. The ale was in excellent condition, the cellar man well deserving the accreditation awarded. The locals were affable and in good spirits perhaps they 'd been there longer than I thought"

A charming upmarket pub. Don’t be put off by the high-class clientele; no hooray Henrys here, just affable gentlemen who seem to be turning Castle Cary into the new Bruton.

Had a nice Latte here on Sunday afternoon. The staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately the pub seemed full of loudmouths and some very bad language forced us to sit outside. Not for families I would suggest.
