The White Horse - Menu

Just moved to the village, bank holiday Monday thought I would take my family to the new local. Door was open people inside drinking, only to be told by a rude man behind the bar that they were shut, it looked a state so won't be going back there.

Not quite what it seems, a normal pub, but meals ordered and paid for at the kitchen hatch. Good place for curry's, but also what i would call a normal pub grub menu as well. Meals served to your table in the bar. No bookings taken, just turn up. Certainly cannot complain about value and quality of meals.

Lovely local rustic pub. Staff friendly. Food is INCREDIBLE and excellent value for money! The chef provides a good range of food, all cooked to order. His specialty is curries but the other dishes are just as mouth watering and delicious! Very convenient if staying at the capel st mary travelodge. Cannot recommend this pub highly enough!

We met friends at this pub around lunch time. Very old traditional English pub. Quite smelly as there were two dogs laying on the couches. Got dog hair all over our trousers. It doesn't do any lunch time meals or snacks at all. It does food after 5pm apparently. I love animals but when your quite smartly dressed I don't appreciate being covered in hair.

A proper pub with a good range of drinks in a friendly lively bar. The kitchen serving a great range of authentic Indian food (the Goan prawn is amazing) also all your normal pub grub from fish chips to mixed grills, the chef is friendly accommodating seems more than willing to cater to your tastes offering to make your curry's as mild or hot as you like! A real treat of a place to eat.

There's always a warm welcome at The White Horse from Mark (the landlord and the locals. We regularly call in for one of the home made curries they are absolutely delicious and excellent value for money. The chef will make it as hot or as mild as you like so, for example, you can have a hot Korma (usually a mild dish or a mild Madras (usually hot! . We are so lucky to have this pub in the village!

My second review, this time they really went out of there way to give me what wanted, having enjoyed their curry's on numerous occasions before I was chatting to the chef saying I would stop on my way home to get chicken balls, no need as the chef made this off the menu treat for me, even going as far as making a homemade sweet sour sauce from scratch which was much tastier than what I'm used to. Yet again they have excelled.

the white horse is a popular after-work pub that serves decent sam smiths bier to very reasonable sam smiths preisen. it strives and reaches the authentic feeling of a traditional iondon pubs and has a lot of seating. the bar staff is very friendly and service is fast. eating is simple, but perfectly satisfactory and incredibly cost effective it is likely after work when the actual thing to be served, more important than the choice of beer or the quality of food, it is nevertheless a good pub and work knowledge.

for a start-theater dinner we could get up in the cozy dining room. while the ground floor is blurred with energetic mass, is above quieter and more peaceful! great selection of beer on hahn. art deco era was perfected with the interieur and gives the event location its warm personality the menu is small and simple, but eating in all its simplicity is of excellent standards buddies and fresh! the cakes are rustic and have made a homey buttery look! meal sizes are huge you enjoy our experience here with friendly hospitality, relaxing atmosphere and satisfying eating!
