"We had a great meal at this restaurant, recommended by friends who recently moved to the area. After a 3-mile walk, we were hungry and ready for a tasty meal. Despite being limited in options for non-meat eaters, we were happy with the choices available. We enjoyed dishes like vegetable gyoza, fish cakes (a bit rubbery), pork balls, yellow vegetable curry, tofu pad krapow, vegetable stir fry, beef massaman, and a spicy salad. The food was served in intervals by Mark, the only server working that night, but everything remained hot. Despite being warned that some dishes could be spicy, we found everything to be delicious and not too spicy. The dishes were all different and light, with good portion sizes allowing everyone to have seconds. Special thanks to Annie, Mark's wife and the chef. The evening was made even better with a good selection of beers. Overall, it was a pleasant evening spent with good friends, and we walked off our meal on the 3-mile walk home."

This pub is a great option for those looking to socialize over drinks. It may be basic, but it's a fantastic, traditional pub with a wide variety of real ales to choose from.

Arrive early or even book to guarantee a table for the limited choice but excellent food.I recommend the chicken pot pie and the balmoral chicken. Also the Mozzarella and halloumi fries are really tasty

Another wonderful lockdown takeaway Thai and beer from the White Horse. The food is absolutely delicious, very authentic, spicy and tasty. We love it. Oh and the beer is apparently really good too! We will be back!

this is s great pub, well kept Fullers range of beers plus one or two guest ales. Small two roomed pub with real fire, further rooms upstairs. Thai food served alongside pub classics, very friendly and welcoming landlord. Food service can be slow, but worth the wait. View menu

After several lockdown takeaways, we managed to eat in for a change. They managed social distancing really well. The food and drink is excellent. Not a lot of choice, but what is on offer is top quality, fresh and tasty. Helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

No alcohol free beers available due to a wedding the day before ! Surely staff would go out this morning and get some ? So ordered a raspberry mocktail , no raspberry's either ! Roast dinner was ok ish , a bit cold , roast potatoes hard , just no taste , I have had better roast dinners in the Toby , shame it's a lovely venue , staff good too . I just will not rush back there .

This beautiful historic pub offers an excellent variety of real ales and craft beers. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with our toddler and all enjoyed our meals. There are fantastic vegetarian options available, and my husband claimed it was the best fish and chips he has had in a long time. We feel fortunate to have this wonderful place as our local spot. What a great pub! Slightly out of the centre but 5 mins walk and a hidden gem. Nice beers, pint of Seafarer was very nice. The food was all home made, mix of traditional English and Thai dishes. The steak and ale pie with mash and veg and a little pot of gravy was smashing! Add then the Pork Karpow with Jasmin rice and we had a lovely meal, the best so far of our week in Hertford. The guys serving us were very polite and witty with it too.

The white horse is a must visit place in Hertford, a traditional pub complete with original features such as the giant fire place and crooked stairs. We are always welcomed by the landlord Mark who is quiet but friendly and always offers our dog a bowl of water. We came here for the Thai tapas as we were hungry but didn’t want a full meal, and we weren’t disappointed. We had three tapas for £10 (one is £4) vegetable gyoza, pork belly and pork dim sum. Absolutely delicious they were! The pork belly deserves a special shout out as it just melted in your mouth, it was perfect. In fact it was all so delicious we ordered more, and figured we may as well have another three tapas to get the offer!...

"I recently moved from Stanstead Abbotts, a beautiful little village in the valley of the river Lea. At the end of the high street is this quaint little Thai restaurant that I used to walk by and always said to myself Before I leave this village, I will book a table and have a meal So said so done. On the afternoon of my move, I asked if they had a table available (on the spot) which they did not hesitate to give me. The restaurant has 2 sections, the front is the largest. I was given a table at the back, as I 'm assuming the other tables were reserved. The menu is vast, bright and colourful, with a touch of personal personality and the price points were within my budget, plus I was giving myself a treat. I ordered 4 dishes: 1. Pad Thai chicken Ginger dish, which I thought came with noodles, but didn 't 2. Crispy sweet and sour beef 3. Thai Green curry 4. Coconut rice This was accompanied by a medium size glass of Lemonade with a slice of Lemon for garnish. The Presentation was nicely served on white plates which made the colours of the food stand out. I had two waitresses, MiMi looked after me the most and frequently asked if all was well as I ate. I was quite hungry, so she said no rush. The decore in the back of the restaurant was embellished with potted plants, hanging from the ceiling with, faux red leather benched seating and whitewashed brick walls. Where I sat (at the back) felt slightly cut off from the main hub of the restaurant, which did affect my overall experience, albeit I was grateful to be given a table, at such short notice, so I reframed that circumstance. I could hear chatter in the busy kitchen, as takeaway orders, were going out, as well as seated reservations. BACK TO THE FOOD: All dishes were served hot and well presented. My Thai curry was in a bowl, that almost tipped over, not sure if that was my haste or the design of the bowl. This tasted exquisite. The flavours bounced around my pallet and the chicken was so succulent and morrish with a touch of heat! As I stated earlier, from the illustration on the menu I ordered Pad Thai, which I assumed was a noodle dish, yet when it arrived it was just chicken and ginger in a sauce. There must have been a miscommunication when I was making my order...Never mind, I had enough in front of me and wondered if my eyes were too big for my belly ! The crispy beef was OK, a little chewy! and the coconut rice was a delight. All in all, I was full and the meal satisfied my hunger. In reflection, if I was to order all over again, I would have ordered x2 THAI GREEN CURRY and I would have been happy, The bill was brought to my table promptly, after I asked for it in a nice golden ornate-looking bowl, accompanied by two pearl mints (nice touch) Now for the hard part.. The Bill I was pleasantly surprised to pay £38.35, that afternoon, excluding a service charge (not sure if that was because I was eating alone or what) If I were to give my whole experience of dining at Khunnai Thai Cuisine a mark out of Ten, I would grade it 7/10. Room for improvement: The decore in the back part of the restaurant, maybe some soft Thai music, Change the colour of the deep red Faux leather seating to something more tropical looking, Maybe an extension for outside dining, at the back (during summer) and a little less NaCl. Comments are given all in goodwill. Thank you for a tasty meal. I would definitely eat at Kuhnnai Thai Cuisine and bring my friends or family along...Next time I will book a table for the front of the restaurant, which appeared to be a more open-plan layout with a buzzing atmosphere."
