The White Rose - Menu

I recently visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch and I have to say, it is better than any other options in the area. I would happily go back every week if I could. I highly recommend it, I absolutely love this place. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a leisurely afternoon.

Four of us had a really good meal here last night and it was such excellent value! The service was good and we were astonished to discover that, on a Wednesday, there was a free pint or glass of wine with the homemade pie a free glass of sweet wine with the cheese biscuits! We will definitely be back!

I had a wonderful meal here with friends. The host Andrea is extremely welcoming, and the bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated. The meal was absolutely excellent, even more amazing was that their chef had been taken seriously ill the day before. The attention to us was discrete but appropriate What a lovely place View menu

Most pleasing to find a pub with the usual pub classics but also a most interesting selection. I had a lovely pea and courgette fritter starter with pesto etc, and a most unusual main course, Asian style seabass with pak choi and mussels. Very, very tasty. The portions were generous. And all for just under £15.Service also excellent.

We’re just home from a White Rose Sunday lunch. Fabulous food, and plenty of it. The Yorkshire puds and gravy were amazing, as was the rest of the meal. The children enjoyed their Sunday roasts too. Lovely people, great food and wine. It was such a nice way to spend a Sunday lunchtime. Highly recommended. A hidden gem. Thank you White Rose, well be back again soon.

It is difficult to review this place as I have never found it open. I did ring one time last year to book a table and had to leave a message on their answering service and I am still waiting for a response. I have heard that it serves good food and it did have a lovely open fire and a cosy atmosphere There is plenty of parking. When we walked into the pub, it appeared dim and empty. The car park was messy. Some interior lights were not working and the staff was unfriendly. We ordered two roast meals, the meat was tasty but the vegetables were undercooked. Unfortunately, the waitress could only bring out one plate at a time. It's disappointing to see this decline in what was once a nice pub with friendly and efficient staff. We will not be returning.

We stumbled upon this pub by chance during lunchtime on Saturday. Despite being located along a road, there is a spacious car park available. The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. Impressed by our experience, we decided to come back for dinner and were not let down. The dishes were beautifully cooked and presented, and the host was very courteous and friendly. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. We will definitely be revisiting soon.

The food is interesting and varied. There are lots of good choices for vegetarians. The desserts are unbelievably delicious and extremely well presented,as is all the food. There is a relaxed unhurried atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We have been on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunch. We have been very happy every time. The menu has changed once since we found this lovely pub. I have enjoyed everything. I wonder when it will change again so that I can try something else. I recommend it to everyone. View menu
