"Met up with friends here today really good experience. The welcome was warm, the food excellent the service good. We were not hassled at all which was good as we hadn't met up for a few months so had plenty to talk about! Between us we had 2 cauliflower cheese with pancetta and French bread, 1 cheesey pudding 1 Woolpack burger. All these were well presented, hot freshly cooked. Our friends shared a dessert of crumble ice cream which they thought was good. For us this was a good pub experience with an interesting choice of well prepared food but none of the usual pub stooge."

My first visit after 35 plus year. A very friendly welcome. A lovely place to relax chat and socialise in. We will be definitely be visiting a lot more.

Friday evening brings a Spanish flavour offering a great selection of tapas and continental dishes with traditional Spanish background music. Friendly staff and atmosphere, all together a very comfortable evening.

Whether it be lunch or a cosy evening meal for us, the service, atmosphere and food is amazing. We have celebrated many a meal or summer after drink at Tim Abbey’s and we have never been disappointed! Lamb rump in particular blew my socks off..

One of my favourite local venues with a cozy atmosphere, the Woolpack provides high quality and well-presented food. I have visited a couple of times and in both occasions I found the service to be attentive, personal and professional. Highly recommended

I travel solo to warminster multiple times per year. I now make a point of visiting the Woolpack as the food, and in particular the fish is always excellent. I've been three times, and finally this place wipes the floor with the pubs near by for food and company. Go here. 5*

May 28th 2021. Such a shame Abi and Tim have stopped offering their renowned Sunday Lunches. 2018 Been going since Tim Ali bought The Woolpack. Tim is great chef, Ali Kelly run a 'wicked ' front of house. Food always excellent booking is essential for Sunday Lunch and where do they get that great beef!!!

This establishment could hardly be considered a pub - it's more of a coffee shop that also serves alcohol. We decided to stop here for lunch on our way back from vacation because the brunch menu seemed enticing, especially since it was advertised as served until 2pm on the website. However, we were disappointed to find out that brunch is only served until 12pm. This left us with a pricey and limited menu, and the only option for children was a plate of chips.

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."

"We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly, tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines, soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”….."
