"My husband and I first found Thornham Coach House when we were shopping for wedding venues near to the church we were getting married at. From the moment we walked through the doors we fell in love with the place and quickly booked for the following May. We immediately booked for Sunday lunch to sample the food, it was fantastic food, the beef was succulent and the vegetables local and cooked just right. We had the best welcome and Louise supported us the whole way with every decision or worry we had. Our day was stunning and the staff were amazing. Since then we have attended most of their evening events and always have the best welcome, amazing food in the most fantastic setting. We also pop in for coffee on the way past on a bike ride/walk. The Coach House is perfect for any setting well worth a visit."

Went here for a function a few months ago. Recommend this venue as their attention to small details was first class

Went for a great Sunday roast lunch in this converted barn. The food is delicious, and service is with a smile! Well worth visiting but best to book in advance.

This is the second time I have visited the Coach House, both being for Dessert Night. Amazing food, and such friendly welcoming staff. Great value for money. Defiantly worth a visit if you ever get the chance. Roll on Father's Day so we can try a yummy roast. Thanks Ladies! View menu

Took my parents here for lunch as a treat after getting them lost due to my poor map reading on Thornham Walks. We didn't have a reservation, but they managed to fit us in anyway. The customer service was excellent, the food was well presented and great quality (the pork crackling was perfect! . Would recommend booking as space is limited. The prices are very reasonable for such a lovely setting.

My husband and myself visited on a Sunday morning, we were warmly greeted and made to feel at home. We were given the choice of seating and did not wait long for our orders to be taken or to arrive. My husband had a sausage roll, I had a cheese scone and we both shared a cup of tea. The food was lovely as was the Coach House. The staff were very friendly and We would visit again if we were in the area.

We were lucky enough to be able to hire Thornham Coach House as our wedding venue in September. We booked well in advance and Louise helped us with our preparations. I couldn't recommend this venue highly enough. A family run business who are so happy to help both on the lead up to the wedding and on the day. The venue itself is beautiful and decorated in a vintage and stylish decor. The food was tailored to our theme and absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a small to medium size venue that will give you a personal, friendly and tailored service in beautiful surroundings then I would highly recommend. View menu

Character is the theme here rather than size. A perfect setting for a small function. Family run and adaptable to your needs. We have been both for lunch when wanting a walk on the estate and also on special evenings such as the popular murder mysteries. The normal lunch menu is not large but there should be something you will like and the focus is on quality. There is a fair range of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, somw of which we had not seen before such as the local Aspall's cider with a shot of cassis or blackcurrant juice. A good local choice with pleasant and efficient staff. Try it you'll be glad you did.

The owner of this place does not have a clue about running a business which includes giving polite, courteous customer service because she has none of these skills! Off hand, flippant and down right rude are skills she is good at. The staff they employ are inexperienced, ignorant and lacking any customer skills also. Asked if they could serve a flat white coffee they responded, “never heard of it” and when we asked what beer they had the waitress said one in a bottle with a red label and one with a blue label. Unbelievable! Overpriced and the food is very mediocre, we cook better and tastier at home. Never go again and would never recommend. Tip for owner, go on a management course to help y...

"I love pubs! How many times do you hear that? I only properly discovered them 18 years ago because in France, although we have our cafes, they are nothing like pubs. I fairly quickly categorised them because when you think about it, they are all different. The best description for me for this one is a town pub full of character. I discovered it thanks to a friend and started going to hold a French Conservation group. I have only had drinks so far and believe me if you are after reasonable prices you have to go to the Gladstone. I have recently paid £2 in another place for a soda and lime. Here they charge you £0.30. And before you ask, no, it's not because it's served in a shot glass. When you enter the premises you will notice first the space. It has got room but you also can decide to sit in a smaller area. There is a fire place which is really nice especially at this time if the year. I went last Saturday to meet with a friend and we decided to have something to eat. If you want a night out but your are on restricted budget this is the place where to go. Ok the menu doesn't give you a massive choice as some do but in fact think about it, it won't take you too long to make your decision. The choice is good and the prices quite low. If you are vegetarian they certainly have thought about you. I am not but to be fair I've always wondered why the choices seem to be so restricted for those who are when eating out? I ended with the chilly beef and cheese. I like the fact you can choose to have it with rice or bread. The serving is good and I really enjoyed it. It was very tasty. The staffs work hard, are very pleasant and easy to interact with which is exactly what you want in a pub. It's a place with great atmosphere. And if you enjoy watching tv in a pub this is certainly the place where to go. It was a very reasonable and enjoyable night out. I'll be back!"
