"We picked this cafe to have lunch in, in advance of our trip to Criccieth Castle. It was only a short walk away, and the pull in by the castle, and plentiful street parking were free. We had not been able to find the lunch menu online but phoning the night before, a lovey lady assured us of the wide menu, and saved us a table. We were delighted to find a warm welcome, prompt service and a full menu. I had the seafood latter, which was almost half the price of a well known other restaurant in the town. Delicious and plentiful, with a tasty salad and italian bread and butter. The tea was the best I have ever drunk, being served in an old fashioned china cup, and refillable teapot, using proper loose tea. My husband enjoyed his omelette and Mocca coffee. We did not have room for dessert (and we like our food! . We noticed young families, and older couples, all enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and food. We highly recommend."

The fish finger sandwich was delicious, but the quiche of the day was a letdown - it was thin, flavorless, and seemed old. Additionally, there were many flies in the lower level of the restaurant.

We stopped by for lunch here after a walk along the beach after family had recommended we come here. I can honestly say the Chicken Caesar Salad was one of the best I’ve ever had! Make sure you go to this place when visiting the area- lovely atmosphere and fabulous food

We visited today for tea and bara brith which was very good . The only slight issue we had is that the bara brith arrived some time before the pots of tea which meant we have more or less eaten it before the drinks arrived . However , they were busy so it wasn’t too much of an issue .

The vegetable breakfast at this restaurant is excellent. They serve tea leaves in a pot, which is a nice touch. The ingredients are of good quality, and the prices are reasonable. The owner and staff are very friendly. We were grateful for the 8am opening time on a Sunday, especially after spending a night camping in the rain. View menu

I ordered the Bacon Brie and Cranberry Panini and found the filling to be just okay. Unfortunately, there was very little bacon on the sandwich, and what was there was chopped up into small pieces and spread out. I had asked if there would be plenty of bacon on it when ordering, so I was disappointed to receive only small pieces instead of the two rashers I had expected.

Visited this lovely old town to have a good beach walk to Black Rocks and back and arrived here for lunch. Really nice and the owner was very welcoming and young staff very polite and courteous Great choice of food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Strongly recommend only disappointment was the coffee not very good really rather lacing in taste and my wife had decaf flat white which was equally poor

Were recommended to go here as our 2 dogs were allowed in. We were welcomed by the staff nicely and chose to sit outside in the sun. The service was quick and the the coffees were lovely, but the cakes! OMG the cakes were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the staff were charming, the prices were as one should expect. We can't recommend Tir a Mor enough. We wish we could have you as our regular stop, but sadly we are just passing through. View menu

Visited for breakfast on Saturday, 22nd June. We arrived at 11am and it was packed downstairs and outside. Luckily there is more seating upstairs. We had the best table for 2 in the cafe. I sat and had a view of the sea from the bay window. We had a great breakfast. Reasonable enough at £10.50 and included all the usuals you would expect. Everything was hot and tasty. I loved my tea from the tea pot with fresh tea leaves. This was our first visit (we are fairly local) and we came on the strength of their Daily Post taste test review. Young girls and owner were all Welsh speaking. We will definitely come again and we have already recommended the place to many friends and family.

Tir a Mar is perfectly situated on the main road down to Criccieth Castle, right in the heart of the town. We visited on 20/03/24 and whilst still just outside the start of the season there was a full menu of delicious homemade food available. Portions are extremely generous but make sure you leave room for the pies and cakes. The blackcurrant pie, lemon meringue pie and Victoria sponge are highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I can recommend Tir a mar very highly so please dont miss it and if you dont have room for cake or pie take some home! The only down side for me and this is very personal is that they allow dogs which will be a...
