"Disappointed!! Greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to the table. However from there we waited too long for someone to come and take our order, until the lady from greeting us whilst clearing another table asked if we had been served yet. Once she had sorted out our order, our party of three went to the carvery separately, every time not having anyone there to serve us. One of our party members had enough and decided to grab her own plate and start filling with veg (not having meat) which then finally the chef came out only to be rude about taking her own plate… wouldn’t of had too if there was someone there to serve her. I then decided to have chocolate pancakes which came out not looking anything like your picture on the menu but sometime just chucked on a plate. Having seen staff standing around on their phones and not taking notice of the customers is laughable with the “review us” cards sitting on every table. Lastly, checking our receipt at the end of our meal, “ IS ALLERGIC: NO” not once did we get asked. There were allergies at this party, however we are clued up enough to look out for ourselves… good job too."

The food was great, but it really filled me up Even though I rated the atmosphere 4 's out of 5 the music was quite loudBut overall a good experience for my 28 'th time here!!!

Staff are really pleasant. Food and variety was brilliant. Only issue in the restaurant in the summer no windows were open. Was dripping of sweat and so was my children whilst eating as there was no air in the building. Our waitress Lynn is amazing. Such a bubbly and happy lady!

The food was good, the server lynn was very sweet and shared a lovely conversation with us. She took care to make sure we had a pleasant time. The carver was also very pleasant and did his best to makes sure allergies were considered. We had a good experience. Wheelchair access was considered make our experience smoother.

Our server Luke was great, however there weren't enough staff to cope when it was busy. The food could be better. We've enjoyed fresher nicer veg roasties before. No veggie options (the salmon thing was offered as a veggie dish seriously None of my 3 companions enjoyed the pigs in blankets. Vegan desert limited to sorbet

Chef has no manners and shouldn't ever be put in front of customers . Unkind and not very welcoming individual . Lesson 1: never ignore customer deliberately. Even if you have to , sort problems with staff, after you've served -valuable these days -customer . Lesson 2 : Racists have no place in this country . Best of luck .

It was extremely busy but our waitress Lynn was so pleasant and always apologising for not getting to us quick enough! But quite frankly we didn't care because she looked so rushed off her feet we felt sorry for her. She said she loves to get to know her customers and have a chat which we thought was lovely. She really made the visit such a pleasure.

The food was great, good selection, all really hot. The carver Toby, was so very polite and friendly towards the children, and our server Lynn was helpful, polite and quick at helping. The cleanliness could have been a little better as there was still some food from the previous people, but really wasn’t an issue, we had turned up early so understood that the table had been cleaned quickly to allow us to sit quickly.

The staff at this restaurant is absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate us, turning on the air conditioning when it was hot, providing us with extra ice, and explaining how to order. The service was fantastic, professional, and very welcoming. The people working there were just lovely. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch, especially from Lynn and Jen who served our table and took the time to chat with us.

Lynn was absolutely fantastic, she was busy and had so much to do, but still made this a lovely visit for us. Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful service, we really appreciate all the hard work. The man working on the serving hatch was also very kind and friendly and we enjoyed a brief chat as we were the only ones in the queue. Would definitely recommend to a friend, and we love to stop in here on the way home from a long day at work. We will be back. Thanks again.

"We came here on a last minute hunt to find a Sunday roast with family without much expectations. However when entering its a lovely set up and we were greeted by Lee and Alison who looked after us for the meal who just to begin were absolutely brilliant, they really care about the customers and make this place extra special. Now for the food you can get a 2 or 3 course meal so everybody made various selections but all had starters. Most went for the Aarancina which isn't your usual starter with a Sunday roast but for here it packs alot of flavour and is a great way to start the meal. They have a great selection of alcoholic beverages I went for a simple beer. For the main roasts we had a variety of meats I wanted the pork but sadly they had no crackling which was half the reason for ordering but if I am being honest after eating the meal it wasn't missed out the meat was tasty full of flavour but the sides were the key. The roast potatoes were of a top level usually when you eat out they are never as good as eating at home, the Yorkshire were huge and tasty, gravy brilliant with plenty to go around and lots of veg and cauliflower cheese on the side. Honestly this was excellent a really good roast probably the best I have ever ate in a resteraunt. Some of the others had the lamb shank which was huge and had great feedback but the beef was great and so was everything else. So yes check it out eat in and eat some great food in a nice setting with absolutely brilliant service you won't be disappointed."

"What can I say….We held our wedding dinner and impromptu party ! on the mezzanine floor and had the time of our lives with our nearest and dearest. It’s been a pretty special place for us as we dined at the House by Hilly Gant to check the area out before moving from London and so as we were having a small wedding of 22 people we felt this was the best place to have our wedding. Suzanne and the team could not have done anything more to make our afternoon and evening so perfect. The food was outstanding and our guests were very impressed Harry and his cocktail making skills are second to none. Huge shout out to all the kitchen staff who’s attention to detail and timings were spot on. Leading up to the day itself Suzanne took charge and offered her expert advice on how to dress the room and made so much effort with our requirements. 3 children and 1 baby as part of the guest list! . The beef in particular was spectacular and the chocolate fondant was sublime. We honestly didn’t want to leave. After dinner Suzanne was able to crank the music up and we had a little party ensuring all the guests downstairs were still well looked after our friends were actually dining downstairs and were able to join us towards the latter part of the evening! From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much to everyone for making it so special for us. I’m not surprised that you were recently awarded your second rosette, totally deserved. For anyone looking for quality food, locally sourced, and beautifully executed this is the place to come. SEE YOU SOON and thank you again x"
