"My husband and I went to the restaurant yesterday but I wish we hadn't bothered. I had a voucher for a buy one get one free gardner's breakfast that was expiring. The breakfast we received was disappointing - a slice of old toast, a dried up bacon rasher, an overcooked sausage, lukewarm scrambled eggs, and beans. I was surprised to find out that tea or coffee was not included and had to pay an extra £4.50. The total bill came to £10.65. The only positive was the friendly young server who helped us. The waiting staff seemed overwhelmed and I noticed that the portion sizes and quality of food for other customers was also subpar. The hot drinks were expensive and the coffee was weak with lots of froth. Despite eating out regularly, I will not be returning for breakfast at this restaurant. I regret not taking photos of the disappointing meal."

Terrible unfriendly staff. Cold food. No apology. No one interested in resolving or apologising. Breakfast stopped at 11.15 and lunch did not start till 12.00. Manager gave a refund for the food but still no apology. No way to run a business. Would not recommend to anyone. Very cold atmosphere.

Just been in for breakfast today .waitress not happy we asked to be seated at one of the many empty booths. One of the breakfasts was cold and its replacement was returned as was cold too. Bacon in another had cooled down. Attitude of management when we went to pay was dismissive and no apology from her or waitress. Maybe poor customer service and cold food explains why place was so empty. Wished we read reviews before we went.

Since the expansion the cafe has deteriorated but today was dreadful. Counter service section had a queue and cakes all looked very ‘tired’ so went to seated area. Had to wait ages to be served, only got attention of waiter by shouting to him. Order came reasonably quickly but without jam. Waited and waited. Asked 3 separate waiting staff before was finally delivered. Thank goodness as without it scone would have been inedible. Looked okay but rock hard on outside, dry and tasteless. As if a vital ingredient missing. Will not be back. View menu

Had a voucher for the two for one cream tea offer. Very disappointing cream tea. Very average scone (still debating with my wife whether it actually was a scone or not she is giving it the benefit of the doubt). Cream to jam ratio was way out. Far too little jam . And I would be surprised if the jam had ever seen a strawberry. Because it was the offer we felt we got what we paid for but if we had paid the full price we would have been very unhappy. Klondyke should look to competitor garden centres to see how to do a cream tea offer properly.

Poor quality totally overpriced toasty. £8.95 for 2 very dry slices of thick bread with pretty much no tuna inside. Overcooked and burned around the crusts to the extent that I couldn’t cut or bite through it. Dried curly edged bits of lettuce served with it. This was terrible and very overpriced. How can anyone charge 8.95 for a toasty? The scones looked terrible and huge and a woman beside me said she couldn’t eat it because it was so dry and one tiny bit of butter to put on it! No wonder the place was virtually empty at 12.30! I can’t imagine anyone would visit here twice. I only went to get something to eat before going to a work meeting in Grangemouth.

A year later, my friend and I revisited this bustling, well-loved restaurant and noticed some visible improvements. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with our waitress Demi being incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. Unlike our previous visit, there were professional menus on each table with a wider selection of dishes to choose from. We enjoyed a delicious main course of fish and chips and steak and chips, followed by jam sponge with custard, cokes, and large lattes, all for a very reasonable price of £24. The relaxed dining experience, along with the spotlessly clean restrooms, interesting garden center, and ample parking nearby, added to the overall charm of the restaurant. View menu

This restaurant is inconsistent in quality. I convinced my husband to come here after enjoying a nice lunch with a friend a while back. I had hoped they had improved since then. We ordered tea and coffee, along with sandwiches and soup. The sandwiches were overpriced and not as advertised - I received cheap sliced bread instead of bloomer bread. The waitress showed no interest when I mentioned this to her. The soup was served in a teacup and my mushroom soup was tasty but small. My husband's ham and lentil soup was lukewarm. Despite the mistakes, we were still charged for our drinks until we had to ask for a refund at the till. Overall, for the prices they are charging, they need to improve...

Disappointed for the second time Server looked miserable and wasn’t happy when we asked to sit at a different table from the one offered due to my partner’s disability. Ordered 2 items off the specials board … gingerbread latte which showed on the picture with little gingerbread man (which is only for the picture apparently) and a cheese and ham croissant Also a normal latte and a toasted tea cake … the croissant came and was literally a microwaved croissant with melted cheese and a wee bit ham and the toasted tea cake was like a clay pigeon disc … the food came and we waited and waited and waited then asked the server to take the food back and keep it warm till our drinks arrived she told u...

"Horrendous attitude from one of the owners/family helpers called Lee. I would like to highlight that Sonia provided a professional customer service experience in comparison to Lee. Placed the order at arrived at When I called at to find out...what was happening, Sonia offered to phone the driver to find out the situation for me, which was good. Whilst waiting on Sonia phoning me back, I received a call from Lee asking me to tell her what the problem was, I explained her colleague was dealing with it she then went on to explain how busy they are, which is understandable and I understand the challenges businesses have at the moment, owning my own. But there was no apology. In fact Lee (who at this point I did not know was the owner/family helper until Sonia told me) went on to tell me it was my fault I ordered from Just eat as they had their own orders to fill first?? Eh hello? It doesn't matter how I place my order, I chose your business to order my dinner from!. Anyway I explained to her that I didn't like her tone of voice and felt she was being really aggressive with me. She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order,I said we have been waiting two hours, so we may as well wait, however she was very forceful and kept saying no I will cancel, I will cancel and then decided to put the phone down on me. I couldn't believe how I had been treated as a customer! Then Sonia kindly phoned back to apologise and I asked whoever that was, should not be in a customer role and I was shocked to be spoken to in that way. She then went on to inform me Lee is the owner/family helper! Shocking. Sonia asked for my details and explained she would let the other owner know what had happened. hours later, I've not heard a peep from the restaurant. So I've made the decision to leave a review after explaining to them, this is what I would do. After waiting over and a half hours and using them for the first time, the food was below average. The pakoras and rice was nice, however the chicken korma was inedible, it was stringy and chewy, the lamb bhuna sauce was nice, the lamb was fatty and chewy. So all that wait for pakora and rice and sauce. We won't be back! Horrendous way to speak and treat customers!"
