Trattoria Delle Cozze

Food was excellent but the service was rushed. Area was cramped and loud. Enjoyed the food but not the atmosphere. No coffee available at the end of the meal.

The host and waiter treated us like family. The mussels and swordfish were absolutely delicious. The place is very popular with the local residents. It gets packed, so reserve well in advance!

tra i migliori ristoranti di pesce mai provato. qualità e freschezza del pesce come pochi. Raccomando la zuppa di cozze, spaghetti con taranthin e anche all'asterice. prezzi molto bassi considerando ma la qualità del pesce, assolutamente da provare anche se siete di palermo e provincia.

Octopus was great, starters in general were very nice. Service was over rushed and the place looks more like a food factory rather than somewhere you eat and experience food. Once at main course we were disappointed, the lobster was tasteless, just tomato sauce. King prawns were over cooked.

Like a dream!! Here you can eat the most fresh sea fruit of your Life! ! ..also you can taste the traditional sicilian disches like pasta con le cozze or pasta con l 'anciova and you can decid between more than 10 different red and white wines. Top Quality about the freshness and location super just on the sea!!

Shouldn't have had the starter and second starter (which were lovely) the mussels as main with fresh crusty bread to mop up the tomato, garlic and chilli sauce was amazing! 5 of us piled into in and its the best mussels I have had anywhere ! With 2 bottles of wine and plenty of beers as well its still came to less than 30 euros each great value for a special meal. Would I come here again ? Worth the drive and YES

The fish is very good, the restaurant is always very busy, but efficient. Staff is prompt and friendly. Had the famous red giant shrimp and scampi for appetizers which were amazing . Had the local pasta which was ok. The fried baby squid was to die for. The price is ok, considering the quality of the fish. I give it 4 star only because the selection on the menu isn’t as outstanding, but otherwise, it’s a great place to have fish. It’s right on the waterfront, too.

After dining here and admiring a golden sunset it becomes quite evident why this place has been around for 50 years and is extra popular with locals: it’s the outstandingly fresh seafood. The Trattoria is perched above the Mediterranean and one can imagine sea creatures jumping into the kitchen. The mussels were outstanding, plump, sweet and tender; ditto the filet of triglie; a fritto misto di mare still makes our mouths water. The house wines, both red and white, while good we’re not up to the level of the piscatorial fare. One strike against this seafood emporium: when packed with guests, as it was when we dined here, it is loud, we mean LOUD.

I planned to go to the trattoria delle cozze with a group of 16. Called the number numerous times, maybe 10, then finally got to speak with a woman. She asked how many, took the name for the reservation and we were ready to go. At night we travelled from a town near Trapani and got there on perfect time. The guy who was dealing with seating customers, checked on the book and said we didn’t have a reservation. Went inside, checked the book inside, nothing, out name nowhere to be found. We were told to go cause it was all full. No manager came out to apologise, to give us an alternative, to offer somethings for our next visit. 4 cars and 16 people turned away like nothing.
