"The food took more than 20 minutes to prepare, the chips were dry and bland, the homemade pie was burnt and didn't taste good - it seemed very similar to a cheap supermarket version, and the nuggets were dry and tough. The prices were too high for a local chip shop, and the portions were small. Many items on the menu were not available, so we had to keep changing our order. Paying £17 for pie and chips, nuggets and chips, and kids nuggets and chips was outrageous, especially since the adult portion had only 2 extra nuggets and maybe 10 extra chips. Overall, it wasn't worth the money and we definitely wouldn't come back."

We stopped here on the way to hunstanton. My wife had a fishcake and said it was very good excellent fish cake. I had sausage and chips, the chips were good. A bit expensive, I also asked for salt and vinegar and found later none...but overall happy View menu

The restaurant is in a great location. We thought we were charged too much, but the food was delicious with plenty of options. The service was average for a take-out meal for dinner. Food quality was rated 5 out of 5, service a 3 out of 5, and atmosphere a 3 out of 5.

we called here at the bank holiday sunday. my partner had sampi and chips he said were delicious. I had chickens and chips with muddy heaps. the huh was the best I ever cost from a chip shop that were muddy heaps with the mint. dirty and so were the chips. the service was great and the personal friendly and chatty. we'll be back.

we have a mix of things, but the main reason for this review was about the fish. so many bones I almost had or had to choose. that is a thing I can't bear that it sits bones out of a fish. above all. a fish and chip shop. I experienced this for the first time with fishing from a chippy. really not good! chips were ok, so I have 2 stars View menu

Worst fish and chips we've had (they made my wife ill) If that's a large cod I'd hate to see the small portion. I don't know what oil they were cooked in but it tasted dreadful, also the curry wasn't proper chip shop curry, and the mushy peas had mint in them, never seen that before. Overpriced, small portions not good tasting. We will not be going back. Meal type: Dinner

Cod and chips. Chips were fine. The cod was dreadful. One piece was mostly batter with a small piece of cod squashed inbetween. The other piece of cod was better, but had bones going along most of it. This was the third time we have...had cod from this shop and each time there have been a few bones, but this piece surpassed all previous ones. Yes, fish has bones, but they are usually filleted. Will not be going back.

"We had pre-booked a table for 6 people to have lunch at 2:15pm. We arrived on time and were shown to the table, which had only been set for 4 people which meant we had to pull a further 2 chairs up to the table, and had to request a wine list. We ordered a round of drinks for the table which took c. 15 minutes to arrive. We were waiting a considerable amount of time for a food menu. Eventually we called a waiter over to order some food and were told that the kitchen we no longer serving, despite having booked a table for lunch and not being warned of the kitchen closing time. The staff told us to be quick in ordering however took a further 10 minutes to come and take the order. The food eventually came and the waitress didn 't even put the food at the correct place, she merely put them on the table for us to distribute accordingly. When the bill eventually came, we politely requested the *optional service charge was removed from the bill as we did not feel that we had received adequate service to warrant a tip, to which the manager began shouting that it as shocking that we wanted to rightfully remove the tip. He went on to say that the kitchen staff had stayed over time to prepare our food. My question to the owner is this... if your chefs are unwilling to work over their hours, why are you offering a reservation close to closing time whilst your staff are incapable of processing the orders to the kitchens in the correct timescale and working hours. If we were told that the kitchen were closing soon, we would have cooperated with the staff to help them work to their time scales."
