"As part of Norfolk Restaurant Week, we booked a family lunch here for my Mother's 90 th birthday. We arrived to find the table decorated, a bouquet of dainty roses and a card from the staff at her place on the table. They allowed us to put up ballooons and decorate the area.Staff could not have been more attentive, food was exquisite, beautifully presented and very tasty. We even had a complimentary plate of macarons at the end of the meal, lovely touch. Waiting staff coukd not have been more attentive, so kind too. Will go again and would recommend this restaurant with a very clever chef in residence!"

We had three course with wine and enjoyed it all. Service was professional but a little slow, otherwise it would have been a 5 star rating

Went to this restaurant using a Travelzoo voucher. Didn’t realise that we couldn’t use it on a Sunday but staff honoured the voucher without any hassle. Food was brilliant and staff were really friendly. Will definitely return.

Came for pre-theatre meal on a Saturday evening. Absolute gem in Kings Lynn. Great food and service. The bar area and lounge are beautiful. Great location opposite the Corn Exchange for pre-theatre drinks and meal. Excellent quality. View menu

The food was really lovely and the restaurant smart. The waiters were very polite and attentive. The restaurant was fairly empty and lacked atmosphere. It was good if you want excellent food but not so good if you want a lively atmosphere.

Really slow service and awful food. When we complained about the main course being cold and inedible we were not offered an alternative etc. Don't waste your money. I don't normally complain or write reviews but felt I needed to in this circumstance.

My friends and I dined at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. The menu offered a variety of options, and the food was outstanding. The sea bass, in particular, was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was prompt, attentive, and welcoming. They also had a good selection of wines to complement our meal. View menu

My daughter brought myself and my husband to the Turners restaurant for mother’s Day lunch and it was truly amazing! The food was exquisite, the staff were attentive and friendly. My husband said that the lamb main course was the best he’d had in 10 years! Thank you to the chef and the waiting staff for a truly memorable and delicious lunch.

I normally try and avoid hotel restaurants as I find that they are generally overpriced with average food. Not Turner's restaurant which is located in the Duke's Head Hotel, King's Lynn. The service was very good and the food was some of the best I have ever been served. I started with the smoked trout which was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, followed by Chicken and Chorizo. The chicken was succulent and the dish very well presented. I can recommend a side of sweet potato chips.

"We had pre-booked a table for 6 people to have lunch at 2:15pm. We arrived on time and were shown to the table, which had only been set for 4 people which meant we had to pull a further 2 chairs up to the table, and had to request a wine list. We ordered a round of drinks for the table which took c. 15 minutes to arrive. We were waiting a considerable amount of time for a food menu. Eventually we called a waiter over to order some food and were told that the kitchen we no longer serving, despite having booked a table for lunch and not being warned of the kitchen closing time. The staff told us to be quick in ordering however took a further 10 minutes to come and take the order. The food eventually came and the waitress didn 't even put the food at the correct place, she merely put them on the table for us to distribute accordingly. When the bill eventually came, we politely requested the *optional service charge was removed from the bill as we did not feel that we had received adequate service to warrant a tip, to which the manager began shouting that it as shocking that we wanted to rightfully remove the tip. He went on to say that the kitchen staff had stayed over time to prepare our food. My question to the owner is this... if your chefs are unwilling to work over their hours, why are you offering a reservation close to closing time whilst your staff are incapable of processing the orders to the kitchens in the correct timescale and working hours. If we were told that the kitchen were closing soon, we would have cooperated with the staff to help them work to their time scales."
