"Went in for the very first time today and ordered two coffees and a cake. I was left waiting ages. There were only two other couples who were already served and eating their food. The woman who served me couldn't put two and two together...and work out that we had no drinks or food, instead conversing with a colleague and ignoring me when I approached the counter to politely ask for some water with my order. I enjoyed the food and coffee, but the customer service was non existent. I hope the owners read this review because if it had been my business, I would have got rid of her. You don't leave/ignore customers who have paid for food, only for them to have to ask where its got to. She didn't even apologise!"

The artisan bread at this restaurant is fantastic, we haven't found anything better in Yorkshire.

delicious food, friendly staff. that is not the only bakery in reeth. there is another, old-fashioned, but also good, a short walk away on the silver street. both are excellent. thetwo dales is the only one with seating.

I am currently seated in the cafe and just enjoyed a delicious sausage roll and a lovely cup of tea. I was also given a sample of Christmas cake, which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this cafe as it is very welcoming.

beautiful bakery with friendly staff, but too expensive for takeaway food. the steak pipe was ok, but honestly, the brownie was the worst ever. very dry, strange taste and the Coco powder on the aid does not improve. Sorry when we were looking forward to this bakery.

We chanced upon this by accident when stopping in Reeth for lunch. We both had roast pepper and tomato soup, totally delicious. And finished of with pastries, where we were spoilt for choice. We saat outside in the sun, sheltered from any wind, and felt...truly blessed.

As a local resident, I often visit this restaurant on Fridays for their excellent coffee, specifically their cappuccinos. While I sometimes opt for lunch or a slice of cake, today I decided to try their French toast with maple syrup, fresh berries, and creme fraiche. It was absolutely delicious! If you enjoy waffles or "eggy bread," you will love this dish. Although I would have gladly had a second serving if my hips were slimmer, it was definitely worth the wait. This may just become my new Friday treat. The restaurant always offers a warm welcome, good food, and a great music playlist.

"We had booked with booking.com . On arrival we were told that we didn't get breakfast included and that it would be £15 a head. We accepted this although thought was pretty steep for breakfast in a pub.The first morning we were given a menu clearly stating that breakfasts were included with all accommodation. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon and the other two ordered a full English breakfast which included homemade black pudding. The breakfasts arrived ,one of my poached eggs was runny, the other hard. The English breakfasts had no black pudding on the plates and when queried we were told that the deliveries hadn't arrived. Doesn't homemade imply made on or near the premises and as the owner states he is a butcher by trade I would expect he had made the black pudding. No alternatives were offered and presentation was distinctly lacking , with the baked beans poured over the other items. The next day I risked the full breakfast with black pudding which was lovely. But again the others had badly cooked poached eggs. We were offered no fruit juice, cereal or even toast and marmalade. On leaving we discovered the pub was unmanned , despite poor mobile signal. The owner turned up after 15 minutes. The bill was handed over, charging us for seven breakfasts when we had six, it was adjusted after he asked if one of us had had two breakfast one day? He served and cooked them so should know the answer to that. We were also then overcharged for nine coffee when three coffees and two teas had been ordered. Having had a family B and small hotel in York I advised him that standards were not what I was used to. I spoke to someone who had also visited recently and she stated a member of staff had charged them £15 per head for their similar breakfast where we were charged the menu price. Exceptionally poor menu, inaccurate advise saying breakfast included then charging us and probably the worst breakfast I have eaten in similar accommodation."
