"Food was lovely But waited over 50 minutes for one starter which was only nachos. 2 tables came in 15 minutes after us . They received there starter and main meals before we even got our starter . As a chef I know it can get a bit hectic at times. But it was not that busy all we got told is we've just got a new kitchen fitted. Nachos does not take that long then waited about another 20 minutes for our mains. I have had lunch here before I could not fault it that's why I returned to have lunch with my mum but sadly very disappointed. Not sure if you have new management that has taken over if so they need to sort out the service , and how you managed the check that goes through for the Chefs . Again I couldn't fault the food but the waiting time was very poorly."

"When arriving at Monturpie guest house, you may have some doubts about staying, but don't let the initial impression discourage you. The views from the terrace overlooking Largo Bay and Leven are breathtaking, making it clear why this place receives so many five-star reviews. Our twin bedded apartment was beautifully furnished with a modern touch, offering the same stunning views. The bright and modern bathroom with a shower cabinet was perfect for us. The breakfast served in the dining room with spectacular views was a highlight, with a delicious Scottish breakfast prepared by chef Linda. Monturpie also offers convenient access to local bus services for exploring nearby attractions. Overall, Monturpie is a fantastic place to stay, thanks to its charming Scottish owners, Duncan and Linda Law. We highly recommend it."

The food was exceptional, particularly the Steak Pie paired with delicious veg chips. For dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was a must-try! The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was inviting and enjoyable. Plus, there’s plenty of parking available, both in the free parking lot and on the street. Highly recommend!"

"I ate here with a friend recently. Looks lovely inside. We ordered quockly and they fetched our drinks quickly too. Food took so long to come and there were only 5 tables in, including us. My friend had southern fried chicken, which he had to send back as it was raw in the middle. It returned some time later, having been cooked until the coating was black in some areas. Very unappetising. The Halloumi and roast pepper wrap which I had was basically a salt sandwich. Obviously halloumi is already salty and the roasted peppers were slimy, wet and had also been salted. It was so briney! The blond girl who served us was unsmiling, abrupt and made it very clear she was disinterested/disengaged from her job and us, not even making eye contact or saying common pleasantries like please and thanks. All in all, a poor experience and I would not return. Two stars are for the attractive interior and the other waitress who brought our drinks quickly."

"This hotel is quite pricey, and our booking experience was not smooth at all. The rooms were bare, with curtains barely hanging on the rails. Our daughter-in-law had an uncomfortable mattress, and there was no key available for the connecting door. After a lot of persistence, we finally received a key, but we had to return it whenever we left the room. The menu was extremely limited, with no options for vegetarians. We had originally planned to dine there but quickly decided to cancel. The bathrooms were lacking too, with only a few towels provided and flimsy disposable cups. There was no safe or refrigerator in the room, leaving everything feeling quite inadequate. Oh, and there was only one teaspoon for two people. It was also uncomfortably hot in the rooms, with the radiators running in the middle of summer. I even had to remove the comforters from their covers. Overall, we paid far too much for a basic hotel that tries to present itself as something more."
