"I always like to look for an Indian while we’re away on holiday as my wife can usually enjoy many gluten-free options with Indian restaurants. I had done my homework prior to leaving the Uk and seen that this place had decent reviews which didn’t...disappoint. I had butter chicken with a garlic naan bread and my wife had mango chicken, with a glass of red win (Cabernet Sauvignon lovely) and a white wine Pinot Grigio ok, and a pint of beer. The meals and the drinks were lovely and the price was about €56. Service was quite quick and pleasant The only slight negative was after asking for the bill, we didn’t actually get one, just told how much it was, which we find a little strange, however we wouldn’t complain unless it was way out of order price wise, which it wasn’t!"

"I was happy to see that the menu of Olivenbauer clearly marked all vegan and vegetarian options, so that it was very easy to find something. The vegan offer was the following: 2 vines, 2 noodle dishes, a burger, pizzabread, a soup, 3 appetizers, 4 salads and two extra vegan dishes (swiss hash brown with sauce and patties with tomato sauce). There were of course a lot more vegetarian options. We decided to try out the pizza bread and spaghetti aglio e olio, the price for both was good and it was tasty. I will definitely go there again when I'm in the area. Updated from previous review on 2018-12-29"

"Phenomena! Our new favorite Italian! Food is a dream. A tasteful explosion for the palate. Try the self-made pasta with truffle. You rarely find such a tasty thing. The pizza is also great. The dessert is right. The service staff and especially the boss are very accommodating. He may well remember faces well he knew every guest at our visit. Even after the second time he could remember us and knew what we would order. The atmosphere is very cozy. You feel like in Italy. There is little respect, however. Without reservation, there is practically no room (speaks of course for the restaurant, therefore no point deduction)."

"We know Alatsee as a walking destination and decided this year to stay at the hotel by the lake as a centre for more walking and perhaps some nature. Booking was through Booking.com and straightforward. We decided on a minisuite for extra room and comfort...should the weather not cooperate. but it did so that was even nicer. The Suite consisted of a sitting room/lounge attached to a bedroom area and bathroom. All was very comfortable and agreeable. Sadly the room was at the back so there was neither much of a view and indeed no balcony for sitting out. I found that rather surprising and wonder if we had an inferior' room. But the place was pleasant enough, the welcome warm and the services all worked. It was nice to be able to take walks straight from the Hotel instead of driving anywhere and after the day visits had ended we had the lake area almost to ourselves. Breakfasts was the usual germanic buffet of cereals, cold meats and cheeses with juice and yoghurt. The service was excellent and indeed the staff actually prepared soft boiled eggs to order and timed to perfection which made a welcome change to the usual hard boiled offerings usually available. A real find for the british palette. What we found most odd was that despite being an excellent restaurant last orders for dinner was as early as 17.00. We are not habitual late diners but felt this was rather strange particularly as we were resident in the place. The place seemed to close up around 18.00 as staff left for home so I don't even know if the bar remained open later. As we had a mini apartment /suite we could of course have our own post prandial drinks in the evening but wonder how guests in smaller rooms fared."

"Had dinner there twice, the staff is so friendly, despite everything being so busy. Food is great, yes, great! Mussel soup tastes like a dream, salmon and sea bream are so delicious, also beautifully garnished, can only be recommended, rounds off a holiday in Füssen, top!!! Thanks to the service team, I haven't experienced such friendly and courteous staff in a long time, greetings to the kitchen top!"
