"We rode our bikes up from Westerland to List in early October and had planned on stopping at the Alte Backstube. We were not disappointed, especially considering the fact that we rode through the rain for the last couple of kms. The cafe has indoor...wintergarden seating heated plus tables inside the building as well. A wide range of selections from soups, salads, some heavier dishes, plus pages of desserts, cakes, and other sweets. Service can be a bit slow, but nothing out of the ordinary from northern Germany. A great place for lingering on a rainy day, or for taking in the sunshine on the terrace. Don't pass up the Windbeutels German giant profiteroles. Definitely worth a stop"

the reception is warm, the selection great as well as the portions. the wind bag is huge with really much saw, hardly to handle alone. the pastry of the wind bag has not convinced us 100%

summer, sun, beach - at 18:30 clock we had a table reserved, 2 adults, 2 children. our order: 2 x pasta, 2 x pancakes. the food came an hour after order. no sorry, no service for the gimder. O-Ton the chefin: "It's high season - our capacities are limited when many guests order pancakes." service at the customer is the chefin foreign. no matter what the customer thinks, she's right and she's better getting the customers off.
