"Went in on Sunday, service was a bit slow to start with but once everything got going we had a lovely time. The Sunday menu is roasts and a risotto, would like a couple of other options for example fish, but if you want a...Sunday roast, then it’s spot on! Plenty of well prepared vegetables with the mains, but what stood out was the pate, it was exceptional, wasn’t going to have a starter but got tempted! They also have a super English sparkling wine, well worth the £45.00 for the bottle as knocked the spots off the veuve cliquot at £5 more! It’s definitely worth a visit, would have loved the option of a cheese board for desert, but a lovely friendly local pub with delicious food"

We stopped by this restaurant for a late lunch with our dogs while visiting Bleasby for a long weekend. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly. All the staff were attentive to our dog, which she really enjoyed.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. I was looking for a place for a family meal for nine of us, and even though it was a late booking, they were able to accommodate us with two tables in a corner which was great. The staff were all lovely and the food was amazing – the portions were generous and everything was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

Visited pub with parents and daughter on Bank Holiday Monday. Almost all of menu available (a couple of minor items, they'd run out of). Service was quick , choice of vegetarian and gluten free food available (none actually designated GF but there are options with...some thought, aware of this as I'm coeliac! Sat outside in sun, plenty of space, food arrived first, left to own devices to enjoy it, no hurrying and immediate clearing away by staff. Excellent chips!!! Really pleasant atmosphere and very reasonable prices indeed. Well worth a relaxed visit. Very impressed indeed.

We don't mind pie in a bowl; however we don't like a stew with very little meat and loads of gravy half covered with a thin slice of frozen puff pastry. Therefore the chips were soggy and the mountain of frozen peas unappetising. Some fresh...veg in a side dish would have been much nicer. Obviously the catering staff couldn't be bothered. The young ladies serving were pleasant but we all know how embarrassing it is to complain when with friends. The best way is not to revisit. How disappointing, thought we had found a better place when we first visited, but there is no consistency.

We visited this restaurant last year and found it to be a great place to stop for a meal while sailing along the river Trent. We had already been to all the other pubs at the top and bottom of the Trent, but had not tried this one yet. We are glad we did! We enjoyed a delicious Sunday dinner with appetizers and desserts, all of which were well-prepared. The prices were reasonable and the staff was attentive and friendly. We look forward to returning to try their pizzas and enjoy the beer garden when the weather improves. We will definitely bring family and friends here when we go on boat trips in the future.
