"The service was slow, the atmosphere was lacking with a plastic marquee in a carpark, dirty plates left on the table with soiled tablecloths, and staff more focused on chatting than providing good service. I asked for a coffee and found it 10 minutes later, cold on the counter. The prices were too high for the quality of the experience. I will not be returning to this restaurant, despite it being located in a charming village by the river Usk. Overall ratings: Food 2, Service 1, Atmosphere 1. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £10-20."

Just stopped in for a drink during one of the hikes. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere outside was relaxing.

As locals, we love dining at this breakfast spot. Peter and his staff are always welcoming and great with families. The breakfast fare is simply amazing.

Since moving to Llangynidr, I have enjoyed breakfast at this restaurant many times and it always surpasses the options in Crickhowell. The curries are also delicious. Peter, the owner, is always friendly and has an excellent team working with him. You won't be disappointed, so make sure to give it a try.

Good place to stop for a rest or to have a snack. The plastic tent outside is probably practical but not cozy when it's not raining. Other tables outside are scarce. My carrot cake was a bit on the dry side I would guess not made the same day. I am not complaining it is what it is and we were happy enough. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Shambolic service and half the menu wasn’t available. Most of the tables were full of cutlery, and the staff didn’t notice were more interested in chatting. The outside area is quite nice, although is essentially a gazebo in a car park. One staff member started having a full English at 1pm despite a group of people waiting and tables full of dirty plates. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

The staff at the restaurant were amazing, but the food fell short for the price. The ham was soggy and the chips frozen, although the eggs were cooked perfectly. The lasagne my partner had was filled with mozzarella, but there was an excessive amount of dried herbs. Despite the location near the beautiful river, there were no views. This was a lunch meal priced between £10-£20 per person. We rated the food a 2, service a 5, and atmosphere a 3.

Delightful café located in Llangynidr near the Usk River, just a short distance from the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. The outdoor seating area is covered by a marquee, allowing guests to enjoy the sound of the rushing river below. They offer a variety of breakfast options and light meals, served by friendly and attentive staff. Ideal spot for hikers and cyclists. Service is prompt and the average cost per person for a meal ranges from £10 to £20.
