"After a lovely beach walk on a very nice Sunday morning we managed to get a table outside the what used to be The Washington Cafe (no sign was displayed so not sure what it 's called now? Waitress was friendly and took our order. Our order was possibly the easiest, quickest order known to man … one latte and 3 cans of coke. After waiting 15 minutes I went in to ask where our drinks were. 'We 're very busy with drinks at the moment, we will get them as soon as we can ' was the reply. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to come. Thank god we didn 't order food. We also noticed other tables were also waiting too long. Won 't be back."

Stopped by for a light launch. After placing out order, we sat outside. Sandwiches were well filled and in siperquick time even tough they were busy. I have been there in poor cold weather and the soup was great.

I had a very enjoyable breakfast. I suggest they offer a full breakfast including toast and coffee at one price. However, the value was still good enough and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Visited here today and were served promptly by lovely young lady. Drinks and food ordered at same time..drinks delivered within 5 mins and food in 15. The macaroni cheese was lovely as was the steak pie with gravy. All at reasonable prices. Will definitely return here!

I'm sure this cafe used to be the Washington, but it is now called the Promenade cafe. Anyway, we just wanted a light lunch so opted for the home made soup. One lentil and one Chicken broth. Both were really excellent and not expensive. They were very obviously home made on the premises. Service was prompt and friendly.

Unfortunately, we only had the opportunity to get takeout ice cream from this restaurant. We regret not dining in here instead of going to Fridays down the road. The restaurant has seating both inside and outside, with welcoming and skilled staff and a diverse menu. The ice cream had delicious flavors and was expertly crafted.

The restaurant is unable to make a good cappuccino or latte, the drinks were lukewarm and when asked to make them hotter, they came back too strong. The chips were awful with a strange taste, like old oil. The service is slow and inefficient. The restroom is dirty, with an old hand dryer that doesn't work well and a water machine that dispenses water that is too hot.

I was walking along the beach promenade on Sunday afternoon and expected to be eating in the town centre, but there was a blackboard outside which promised mince, tatties and skirlie, which sounded really appealing on a cold day. That was what I had, and it was a very generous portion on a big plate, which I struggled to finish, but it was worth it. I was perfectly happy with the standard of service and the politeness of staff. It made me think I should explore more of the beach cafes.

Now called the Promenade Cafe, ate here as got lost in Aberdeen and were running out of time and patience! Small menu but well cooked. We ordered a house burger from the specials board, cheese and ham panini, chicken Caesar salad and poached eggs and bacon. All was delivered in short time despite being busy and was of good portion size. Staff were friendly and we took some sweet treats away with us for later. The Gypsy cream biscuit was really good. Nice place just good do with sprucing up.

Although the place looks small, I actually managed to negotiate my way to a table in my wheelchair. The service came promptly and with a smile. The prices were very reasonable. The food came and was very good, plenty of product in my wrap and the panini is went down well too, and we shared a yummy bucket of fries. All in all this place looks like it needs a make over, however, if that means the prices would have to go up then its fine as it is. Would rate this miles above the other Branded food eateries that are down at the seafront.
