"I will not be returning to this restaurant. The entire experience felt unhealthy, poorly organized, and badly managed. We shared a starter before our champagne even arrived. They make you pay the bill on your way out, which is helpful in saving time at the end of your meal, but unfortunately, the staff seemed more focused on the breakfast customers around us rather than attending to the diners present. It didn’t seem worth it to complain, as the staff appeared neither interested nor equipped to handle any issues. It was a really disappointing experience. The place was busy, but I noticed many guests leaving without returning—this was for a birthday meal, which is such a shame."

Our dinner service was prepared for our reservation, the food was tasty and ample beverage options available.

This restaurant by the river is outstanding. The food we enjoyed was incredibly delicious, with well-balanced flavors that pushed the boundaries just enough. The staff were friendly and polite. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed a lovely steak dinner, and the house red wine was exquisite. However, there was a mix-up with our drink order, which was quite frustrating. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a wonderful evening overall.

Found the staff very helpful Great location Glad we used the restaurant rather than eating out in the evening as planned as it was very good food Breakfast also was very enjoyable Great value for money will come again View menu

We were presented with the early bird, children's, and full menus, and our group decided to order from all three. We were surprised to find that the portion sizes for the early bird menus were smaller than those of the children's menus.

The restaurant is stunning, located right by the River Ness. The service is outstanding, with Dee, Shane, and Eleanor being incredibly friendly, welcoming, and pleasant. The food is fantastic and attractively priced. The drinks are also great. I would highly recommend this place, and I will definitely be returning for another meal.

Four of us were here for the two course Sunday evening meal. Restaurant pleasantly full. Three of us had the fish. The fourth chicken supreme. All beautiful. Unfortunately the rhubarb crumble was finished so two had the sticky toffee pudding, one something in a glass, the fourth the cheese board. Again, all great. Three of us had coffee and we also had one Pepsi and two glasses of wine. Very reasonably priced. Service exceptional and with a smile. View menu

We were there for lunch. There was only one other couple there when we came. They were serving 4 different main dishes. We ordered 2 beef bourgogne with mashed potatoes. The stew should have been ready to just put on a plate and serve. We had to wait 30 minutes before it arrived and a couple that came in after us was served food before us. Not ok. They also put a service charge on the bill while asking us to go up to the desk and pay. Provide service if you're going to charge for it. The food was fine, a bit bland.

We dined at the Waterside Restaurant in August after making reservations, eager to enjoy both a pleasant meal and the lovely scenery. There were four of us in total, and I decided to order the fish and chips. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst fish and chips I've had during my time in Scotland, and I've tried plenty of them. I couldn’t finish the fish but managed to eat the chips. When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, he seemed indifferent to my feedback. Out of our group, only one person felt satisfied with their meal. Overall, I believe the food is overpriced for its quality, and the service definitely needs improvement.

"Oh, what a day we had at The White House for my auntie’s 88th! It was pure magic, right from the off. The team there couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us all feel right at home in the heart of Scotland. Now, let’s gab about the food it was out of this world! We started with gluten free fish n chips, and let me tell you, it was as good as any chippy by the sea – crispy, golden, and just packed with flavor. The venison steak and beef short rib? Cooked just how you’d want them, tender and full of taste. The gluten free burgers were a hit too, so juicy and well seasoned. For pudding, we had these scoops of ice cream, smooth as you like, and an apple crunch cheesecake that was simply to die for. But it was our server, Anastasia, who really made our day. She was a wee star – always there with a smile, quick with a recommendation, and knew her menu inside out. I barely noticed our water bottle was empty, and whoosh, there she was with a full one. That’s service for you! The atmosphere in The White House was just as warm and inviting as you’d hope for. It felt like sitting in a cosy wee pub in the Highlands, with all the charm and friendliness you’d expect. So, if you’re ever in the mood for a meal that’s as satisfying as a wee dram on a cold night, head to The White House. It’s not just eating; it’s a proper Scottish experience, full of heart and soul"
