"We dined here last night, on an overnight stay in Inverness. I had the homemade chicken liver pate starter, rib eye surf n turf and the date and ginger pudding. My better half had the Prawn and mango starter, rump of lamb, and posset dessert. All carefully crafted, nicely presented and with great produce. The meats and seafood were outstanding. Pleasant staff, always willing to help. A little gem. Forgot to take any pics, as the nosh was too tempting."

Absolutely loved our meal at Fig Thistle. The Malaysian curry salmon had so much flavour and the mushroom linguine was so delicious. The desserts were perfect. The service was also outstanding! View menu

Lovely restaurant with excellent food and very friendly staff! The owners were serving us personally and they were lovely people. The dishes were on point with the taste and portion size. They also had homemade pasta which tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Didn't get a table inside the bistro, so had to sit in the outdoor area. But it was good, with music from the nearby Italian restaurant. Food was great, so was the service. Our man was Ricky, who was really attentive and quick. Highly recommended if you are in Inverness.

Absolutely beautiful, my review is a bit late, sorry, the food was outstanding. I had the goats cheese soufflé ti start which was phenomenal. The rich chocolate dessert was also divine. Service was 5 star a lovely young man looked after out table and couldn't have been more attentive. Will definitely be back, thank you. View menu

Now that is exactly how a professional business should be run! The staff were fantastic very attentive, warm and welcoming. The food was so good each course a delight to consume. I had the Prawn starter, Rump of Lamb main and strawberry cheesecake. Delicious I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Fig and Thistle and would gladly shout it from the rooftops if I could.

Absolute gem of a restaurant in Inverness. I’ve been here twice. The food is so flavourful, well plated and delicious. Definitely make a reservation. They are booked solid and I can understand why. I had the starter of king prawns. Delicious. Then I had the goat cheese tart (gluten free option) followed by the Lemon White Chocolate Panne Cotta. It was sublime. If I am ever in Inverness again I will definitely plan to eat there again.

"Oh, what a day we had at The White House for my auntie’s 88th! It was pure magic, right from the off. The team there couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us all feel right at home in the heart of Scotland. Now, let’s gab about the food it was out of this world! We started with gluten free fish n chips, and let me tell you, it was as good as any chippy by the sea – crispy, golden, and just packed with flavor. The venison steak and beef short rib? Cooked just how you’d want them, tender and full of taste. The gluten free burgers were a hit too, so juicy and well seasoned. For pudding, we had these scoops of ice cream, smooth as you like, and an apple crunch cheesecake that was simply to die for. But it was our server, Anastasia, who really made our day. She was a wee star – always there with a smile, quick with a recommendation, and knew her menu inside out. I barely noticed our water bottle was empty, and whoosh, there she was with a full one. That’s service for you! The atmosphere in The White House was just as warm and inviting as you’d hope for. It felt like sitting in a cosy wee pub in the Highlands, with all the charm and friendliness you’d expect. So, if you’re ever in the mood for a meal that’s as satisfying as a wee dram on a cold night, head to The White House. It’s not just eating; it’s a proper Scottish experience, full of heart and soul"
