"have dined here every time in the area as used to be great. on friday night it was terrible service. our order was taken and 31 minutes later we received it. this was after the tables either side of us had received theirs and had ordered after us. one table even commented on it to us. the waitress on duty when we arrived is always polite and friendly and helpful. she was only waitress there. she was finishing her shift and it took two young waitresses to do what she had been doing and weren't doing it well. they wiped anything on the table onto the floor and left it. were more interested in chatting and laughing with each other. when asked where our order was after the second table were served with their food we got a grunt saying it's coming. wouldn't have minded but we all were having fish and chips. food isn't as good as it was so time to dine elsewhere"

Closes half an hour earlier than advertised time when you try to order. Staff are rude and ignore phone calls 90% of time as well

I’m a regular here and I’ve always enjoyed my meals. There is a wide variety to choose from, the food itself is soooo nice, staff is always helpful and the prices are decent.

I have been dining at Waves for many years and have never had a bad meal there. I have tried other fish and chip shops in town but none compare to Waves. The food is always fresh and hot.

I will never come back to this restaurant again after witnessing the way the owner treated a young man with food allergies. He sent his meal back three times before finally getting up and leaving. View menu

I found myself in the area, working late and craving some food. I was in the mood for some good fish and chips at a diner-style restaurant. Waves was exactly what I was looking for - the batter was crispy, the fish was juicy, and the chips were chunky but not greasy. I highly recommend this restaurant. View menu

Having been purchasing food here for over ten years, I can unequivocally assert that Waves consistently provides the best, tastiest fish and chips within the greater Antrim area, always providing good quality produce and generous portions. I don’t know anyone who has sampled their fare that doesn’t agree.

I have eaten in waves for ten yrs now and used to boast we had the best chips on the island and this was bore out by friends pretending to visit me just to go to waves. Sadly that is no longer the case. It is not a bad chippy but no longer a quality chippy, it has nothing left that make it stands out from any other standard chippy and has been this way for too long now, Im guessing the change in potaotes, burgers etc is for greater profit as all I can really say now is the prices keep going up and the quality keeps going down, the demise of what was once a great chippy.

"My partner and I called in here for a bite to eat last Monday on my way back from Belfast. If there was a spot for no stars, that is what I would give this place. I wantedd to complain but my partner told me not to as he didn't want to make a scene. Im so sorry I didn't now. I ordered chicken goujons and garlic, and he had the pitta chicken. His chicken was like charred rubber it was so overcooked. My meal was like a plate of grease. The goujonsweres just pure grease on a plate. I scraped the batter off and tried to eat the chicke, but it was like goo. The garlic fries were in a bowl of grease. The young waiter who lifted the plates just did that and no more. We were never offered desserts, notthat wee would have taken any anyway. The other staff were just cleaning around us as if to say it's leaving time. It's very rude to be brushing up floors and spraying tables in a clean u in front of customers. Would most definitely never go near this place again. called in here for a bite to eat last Monday o my way back from Belfast. If there was a spot for no stars, thatt is what I would give this place.
