This restaurant is right in the centre of town next to the Glockenspiel. We have been here before and we came back because we enjoyed the live entertainment and the food. The duo played easy listing music in German and English. Margaret and Klaus

there is unfortunately only a vegan dish (baker with pommes.) the restaurant is but very nice and traditional and the personal friendly. and so many restaurants with vegan options unfortunately there is not updated by previous review on 2022-03-19

Eten gemiddeld. Jagersnitzel was goed maar champignonsaus erbij kon echt wel beter van smaak.Steak was goed gebakken maar smaakte als gelruid met paprika if barbecue kruiden.Prijs kwaliteit ok. Vriendelijke bediening . Proper .Toeristisch menu dus....

We went there for dinner; food is good, their dishes are typically German, but excellent value for money.Service is very friendly.During our stay, they had live music in their lovely garden, which made us stay there all evening.And yes, you can also dance there.

Typical hearty traditional food of variable quality. The boneless duck was indeed boneless but it also didn't have much meat - mostly fatty skin. Other dishes were OK. However, given the prices one can't expect more, particularly in the middle of a major tourist attraction. The service was actually very friendly.

Sono stata in questo locale molto caratteristico con mia mamma e ci siamo trovate benissimo. Abbiamo mangiato due piatti tipici tedeschi, uno stracotto di manzo con vino e uvetta e Knödel (gnocchi tondi di patate molto grandi) veramente buoni e non salati con krauti rossi all'aceto e un'ottimo brasato di maiale con una salsina squisita con patate e krauti rossi. Ingredienti di qualità e NON salati come piace a noi Ottimo calice di vino rosso della casaPrezzi bassi, abbiamo pagato circa 35 euro con piatti che richiedono una lunga preparazione.Tanta cortesia, locale storico e piatti tipici. Weinhaus Drosselhof is a very pleasant restaurant with very kind staff. On the day we visited there was life music during lunch which made for a very festive atmosphere as the village in general was preparing for the advent.The food was very tasty and rich as you would expect in Germany; we had a "Hugo" as aperitif which is certainly to be recommended. Although the service is quite fast once you have placed your order, there is no pressure whatsoever to push the customer out; we felt very comfortable extending our stay a while to chat over a cup of coffee and some desserts. Of cours a coffee and Asbach are a must in Ruedesheim!

Im in Germany for 6 months of work, and my wife just joined me for Christmas. We picked this restaurant in Rudesheim based on the menu they have posted on the entrance. My wife wanted German food for her first meal. She ordered Hachenchenschnitzel for 12.50 and I had the mixed grill for 14.90. With the mineral water and several German beers the bill was 45.10 The waiter was very gracious and although his English was not perfect we were able to communicate just fine about what each dish was composed of. Wir waren mit einer Reisegruppe von 57 Personen an Muttertag 2017 im Drosselhof. Es war ein unvergesslicher Tag. Wir kamen zum Mittagessen gegen 12.00 Uhr unsere reservierten Tische waren sehr schön eingedeckt, der Service hat uns sehr freundlich begrüßt. Nach der Getränkebestellung die sehr züging ginge haben wir unser Essen aus der Karte gewählt. Das Essen wurde frisch und lecker zubereitet. Der Spargel war auf den Punkt gekocht, die selbst aufgeschlagene Sauce Hollandaise war hervorragend und das Schnitzel herzhaft in Butterschmalz in der Pfanne gebraten.
