Urige kleine Weinstube mit leckerem original pfälzischem Essen..Innen nur zwei Tische, außen ein paar mehr, unter Schirmen mitten in der zauberhaften Altstadt von Freinsheim.Der Service war auch sehr nett. was will man mehr?

This is a cozy little restaurant. It is owned and operated by a young family. All hands are on deck and even the children help out. The food is prepared by Mom, served by Dad, dishes cleared by the kids and it is all done with love. It is traditional German fare, but the best in all of Germany. You will be glad to eat here.

We have visited Am Der Bach with a few colleagues to have dinner. It was a very positive experience. Pros: very good food; especially Rumpsteaks! beautifull surroundings great local wines (really great Cons: kitchen closes at be one minute late...and you don't eat. payment only with cash; is this really Europe, Overall highly recommended.

Sehr schönes kleines Gasthaus mitten im Herzen von Freinsheim. Super schöne Sitzgelegenheiten außen, innen einige wenige Tische und eine Bar. Die Speisen waren qualitativ sehr gut, Portionen ok, Beilagen etwas fad Generell fehlte etwas Pfiff in Sachen Würze. Ansonsten Wein sehr gut, Ambiente auch top, Service angenehm und Alles in Allem ein super Besuch.

Ich habe im Sommer 2023 auf der Außenterrasse einen wunderschönen Abend genossen. Die Weinkarte bietet regionale Weine von ordentlicher Qualität und wirklich großer Auswahl. Die Speisen waren von der Vorspeise über das Hauptgericht bis zur Nachspeise ohne Tadel. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wegen des Ambientes und der gesamten Leistung kann ich das Haus nur empfehlen.

Nicht nur Wein, auch Bier ; und phantastisches Essen!...ein Gastraum mit einem großen Tisch (ca. 10Personen und 5 Tischen für jeweils bis zu 4 Personen. Der Raum ist total gemütlich, wohl auch sehr beliebt...was die Reservierungen vermuten lassen. Es gibt neben Weinen auch gezapftes Pils und Weizen. Eine Speisekarte die Qualität schon erahnen lässt! Ich hatte einen Kräuterpfannekuchen mit frischen Champignons und Roquefortkäsesauce...phantastisch trifft es wohl am besten! Ein wunderschöner Außenbereich/Biergarten ohne Straßenverkehr! Sicher für Kinder... Ein absoluter Tipp zudem man sehr freundlich bedient wird!

He spoke perfect English and was warm and friendly. The food is prepared upstairs and sent down on a dumb-waiter. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel. It was more like a fried pork chop than schnitzel. It was not thin and it was only very lightly breaded (which I liked). My wife tried the saumagen, which she thought was great. The small salads we ordered were quite large and the potatoes were served in a large bowl. We were both pleasantly surprised. When we expressed an interest in a schnapps, he gave us a small sample, which he did not charge us for....

The restaurant is located in a very delightful small court yard and the first impression is very good. The menu on offer is very exhaustive, but when you look in more detail, you find that prices do not include any side dishes, like potatoes, french...fries, salads and so on, which have to be purchased as extras. If you miss that, all you get is a piece of bread with your meal. Whilst the food is not outstanding, it is passable, but what really lets this place down, is the very long waiting time for your meals.
