White House Express

We ate a day and we liked a lot, good service and a lot of food, expensive, but like everything in London

The restaurant was just okay, but I have to admit I felt like I was being a bit cheap when I paid £42 for a shawarma, salt beef sandwich, and hummus. I was hoping for something amazing for that price.

I enjoyed a delicious salt beef plate . Prices are reasonable. Can get fast food or real meals; eat at tables or counter (or take out). This is a kosher restaurant with a comfortable vibe whether you 're kosher or not. View menu

on the golders green road very well visited restaurant, which is popular with all age groups. excellent hummus as starter, large portions, therefore good (one) parts. on the terrace you can feel the sympathetic quartier spirit.

This was the first time at the White House Express and was pleasantly surprised with the choice of menu. It was good to be able to choose the salad individually so you get what you want rather than what 'they ' want to give you.

our religious friend begged us to go to a kosher restaurant for a changeso we came here.he ordered chicken wings, hummus with musrooms, a hamburger and chocolate pudding and loved it all.i tried bangers and mash (i go with local food mind you) and the bangers were the simplest sausages while the mashed potatoes and the baked beans were good.i also ordered sticky toffee pudding and liked ita third friend went for chicken soup with noodles and kneidelach (mazzo balls)if you don't bother with kosher or miss Israeli flavours there is no reason to dine here View menu

This is a regular haunt for us for a quick, tasty family meal out.Yes it's true the place is noisy, cramped, too hot, too cold blah blah. But it's casual kosher, Israeli dining and you shouldn't expect a fine dining experience.But what you do get is this....a great choice of totally delicious food, generous portions and reasonable prices.Big shout out for the meatballs and any of the chicken dishes totally yum and a great array of accompaniments.I have never had anything but delightful service. Contrary to the name of the restaurant the service is anything but express.After waiting almost 20 minutes to place our order I had to ask for someone to come to our table the staff were none too pleased as they were enjoying talking to each other and totally ignoring customers. When the waitress did eventually come to take our order her attitude was of total disregard for us.Having eventually placed our order we had to wait almost 30 minutes for the meals to arrive so much so my husband was about to walk out. I am a regular visitor to the White House in Golders Green, London to pick up a take away, usually pre-ordered. On this occasion, I stopped by and noticed that the restaurant was being managed by a someone I did not recognise, who appeared to be the son of the owner. I was first ignored, then interrupted what appeared to be an hilarious conversation between the staff, who then referred me to the chef behind the counter, who had not prepared anything for me. After waiting some 12-15 minutes, I finally received a box of shredded chicken, without the usual salads and accompaniments.
