I am sure this brie garden is busy with activity in a non covid year. We still had a great time with friends. The beer was great and food too! Very nice atmosphere.

The surroundings are beautiful! Plenty of parking and fun way to get your food and beverage. The food was great, though the lady at the counter was absolutely grumpy after a long, warm day. For some reason she accused us of taking more food. Luckily,...the group was in a great mood, so we simply ignored her.

The Wilde Rose beer garden (not to be confused with the beer house in town) is about a minute uphill walk out of the centre of town. Its well worth it! My party of got there at on a Saturday as it...opened. The staff were helpful and we soon had seats and beer. What makes the place is the atmosphere, families, people of all ages out for a quiet drink and something to eat in the sun. Fabulous (only open May to end of September depending on the weather)

Arrived on a Sunday evening from checking into apartment. Menu is a bit bigger than last time, tho it was so busy they were running out of entrees. I had a Sauerkraut and two pairs of Wurst, plus a piece of German dark bread, and...then a Radler to top it off. The Sauerkraut was good, the bread was a bit too much crust, and the Wurst were just ok. However the Radler was very good, no taste of beer, a much sweeter Radler, which was perfect. Wooden picnic benches and tables or metal chairs and tables. The eating area is large and pleasant, tho no view available. Good for a family picnic with a chilidren's playground.

Otherwise, it is meat oriented, and as it is now warm spring/summer, there is more of a Brotzeit, rather than a dinner menu. Lots of different beers, tho I wasn't thrilled with their Radler. My cheese plate was slices of swiss, pieces of Camembert, pieces of rye bread, butter, a pickle, quark, and a herb cheese spread. The Wilde Rose is a bit off the beaten track and a walk (uphill) from the town centre. But if you are after a typical Bavarian beer garden you will not be disappointed. It is a mixture between a picnic area in a park and...an outdoor beer garden (obviously This because they are quite happy for you to bring your own food as they know you will drink their beer! You walk past a brewery on your way there. Let's start with the beer. You buy from a window through which you gain a little glimpse of the tradition of the place.
