"It’s been several years since I last visited the Mainwaring Arms. It used to be one of the “in places” to visit ..I don’t think it is anymore. It looks tired, shabby even. The blackboards for specials etc had not been updated. The gents toilets were dirty smelly. I was ignored by the couple behind the bar for around 5 minutes while they focused on getting the till working. So much so that a local sitting at the bar said “ you must be invisible mate “ I had prebooked a table for 4 for 5.45pm , as we were on our way to a concert in Trentham. I was told our table number only to find another couple sitting there. The barman/ landlord said in that case sit at table 8. This is not a table , more a board with bench seating either side. It is impossible for 4 adults to sit opposite each other with their plates . We had to stagger ours in order to fit them on the table,sorry board. The Pork Loin was advertised with mash ..it came with underdone boiled potatoes. The sausage and mash came with very lumpy dry mash . The chips were so overdone they were almost black. I won’t be returning for some considerable time. Very disappointed as we have been to other Joules pubs and been impressed"

"We have visited Peaches twice and it has been amazing both times. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to vegan dietary preferences. On the all-you-can-eat days, they will prepare a vegan platter with a variety of dishes. Almost anything on their menu can be made vegan, just let them know your preferences. During our first visit with a large group, they were also able to accommodate for allergies along with our vegan needs. We highly recommend Peaches, but as a socially awkward vegan, it would be helpful if they had a dedicated vegan menu available both in the restaurant and for online ordering."

"We attended for a wedding reception, everything was well organized, sufficient staff who were most professional, lots of lovely food and plenty of choice. There was prosecco upon arrival, there were sausage rolls, mini pies, onion bhajis, chicken curry, rice, beef chilli, chips, halloumi sticks and other items I didn't sample, there was more than enough food for all (I believe 60 people attended) and it was really good. The weather was kind and we were able to sit out in the beer garden or stroll around with our drinks. My friend and I had a wonderful time thank you."

"I and my friend make a vegan month for a fairytale, so we go to the cappello lounge because we saw that they are a great vegan menu. I had the vegan cheeseburger and my friend had the vegan ultimate sausage sandwich. both meals were so good that we thought they had accidentally given us the right one! her brewdog bier and old mout cider were also vegan options on tap. would be reclaimed to vegetarian and vegan friends"

"I went there last night and, as usual, had an amazing experience! The coworkers are awesome, and they handle any issues that come up extremely well. The food is incredible, and everything they serve is top-notch. I did encounter a minor issue with another table, but the staff addressed it promptly and professionally. This place is definitely one of the best in Stoke-on-Trent, which is why I’m giving it a well-deserved 5 stars. I highly recommend trying the chicken tawa—it was absolutely fantastic!
