"First a review of the restaurant, we walked past and it looked welcoming, a nice ambience. The waiter was kind enough to bring us an English menu when he saw that we were translating things. It did help because you can loose some of the...subtleties in translation. The beer was very good and the schnitzels delicious, one with cream, one with mushroom sauce. The bathroom facilities are spotless which is always a good sign Secondly, I left my work phone and was in Frankfurt when I noticed. I rang the restaurant and the owner, Rico is arranging to have my phone posted back to me, top assistance, thank you, this was always going to be a star review, can I give more?"

We visited the restaurant on a public holiday to have lunch. There were too many guests there, so it was a bit too loud and uncomfortable. The food was nothing special, but you could eat it. View menu

Delicious Pork Hax fresh from the oven has been for me one of the best dishes I have tryed in Germany. As it says in the Menu it takes but it’s worth it! Also they have different Paulaner beer.

The Wirtshaus am Dom which served traditional food in traditional clothes. My brother and I tried the Pfalz dish comprising bratwurst, liver dumplings, saumagen, a type of stomach dish, and bread accompanied then by a local beer.

I do not eat in the most important tourist sites of a city, since in the standard quality is not so great, but today I had no time and the children starved. my older son wanted a inflammatory cake and so we stopped at the first...available place. I have to say it was a great surprise. the flammkuchen was really good, the service excellent. View menu

Visiting Speyer is always at risk of running into crowded restaurants, but this stop is pretty good. Traditional German food with a Bavarian flair. I found the Pfälzer Leberknödel- Suppe and the Bratwurst to be particularly good. Their Schnitzel is also breaded with Speyer Bretzel...crumbs for a nice change to a German staple food. I must also mention the Fries are perfect. We will return here again

We made a last minute birthday dinner booking at the restaurant. Luckily they accepted (Speyer was quite busy after Christmas plus there was a Christmas market still running). Location is a traditional Wirtshaus. Prices and portion are reasonable. We all liked the various Schnitzel creations,...food and beers had been tasty. Only minus restaurant knew that it was a birthday booking plus we spent a couple of hundred Euros I would have expected a greeting from the restaurant... service good improve.

"I am not a pingelier visitor and certainly not sensitive, but that was one of the worst restaurant visits I have ever experienced. even if only of very short duration. we were on the way to 5 in speyer and 2 of us had the slemmer block. we had previously looked at what there are in speyer on restaurant options and then decided to la luna. that is the 2nd year that we use the block and so far it has always worked completely without any problems - even without a reservation. from the outside, the la luna made a very nice impression, if we were not sure whether it was made, because it is in the backyard and you only see a sushi shop from the front. when we entered the restaurant, the wed has stopped us with a hand held up and waited. We have, of course, also succeeded. Although this was not really full locally, he has pushed us two smaller tables together and left us outside beside the fountain. the terrace is okay, more but not. when the service came, the fun went off, and she handed us the menus. we told her that we had the slemmer block and tilted her mood. in the way they murmured something from 'they had to book with us before', as far as so good. 5 minutes later, he said that we were going to the table: "we don't take a slemmer block. they should have booked with us in advance. we don't take it off." we have also taken this, even though we were unable to understand the argumentation. He wants to be reserved - but not to say that you have the block - and if you come and have the block, it's okay. but not without reservation. he then left us alone to advise us. what we did. However, after 5 minutes he was right back and instead of letting it be good, he had to ride on the thema again. at this time we had decided to stay as a group and simply accept it. Finally we wanted to have a nice evening and it was only about 1 main dish. tja, who would then discuss that he could understand our opinion, but that that would be his, and that he would like to be consciously in his restaurant and not to "cheap". At some point, a discussion was created, because it became increasingly unofficial and had absolutely lost itself in the dead. he was not in a position to conduct a factual discussion and has also addressed us personally. we should've been studying decent, we could understand. he thinks only as a businessman and the slinger block is damaging to him, he only makes losses. that he has been there for 4 years, then had a light thread in taste. this year would be the last and they would stand out. After we were allowed to listen to other unharmed talks and we had no more pleasure to let ourselves be fooled by the side, we finally left. the complete local has got the situation and a table has even explicitly addressed us what would have been going on. in short form, they then got a summary. we have rarely felt uncomfortable in a local. worse still is that one is treated so from above only on the basis of a hammer block. the wet had to miss 150-200 euro this evening - quite contrary to his assumption, he would make losses and we would just eat cheap. it was only about approx. 10 euro, to a main dish. also: all 5 are fully employed and we were all dressed a little better because we knew we wanted to go away together. I can't evaluate it, but we'll never have a look at it again. very sad that you have to behave with your guests, and to judge them, the restaurant does not seem to be so badly visited because of the slinger block. the owner should think about whether it has not caused others. because with this kind he is driving the runnership. the senses of the slemmerblock is to visit new restaurants and to find new favourites. that has been so often gone and we have always been glad that we have been made aware of this locally. otherwise we would never have seen/seeded/tested. in the connection we have landed in the "flaming star" - without a slemmer block. And we had another super evening, which of course had its running gag. at least this had his good one."

"Wir haben für unsere Weihnachtsfeier mit 23 Personen reserviert gehabt. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Es gab eine Sektempfang. Danach sind wir in den unteren Bereich zum Essen. Die Menüfolge war vorher schon besprochen sodass man alles hätte gut vorbereiten können. So ab dann war es leider nicht mehr so schön. Getränke wie Weizenbier bekommt man eine Flasche und ein Glas hingestellt. Einschenken muss man selbst.
