"she stayed here for a night, so to eat in the restaurant. the personal was pleasant, a typical German restaurant with typical German meat dishes. the meat was incredibly tender and the sauce was quite rich, but it was good that they did not overload you. with a load chips! So when they leave the meal, they did not feel inflated, but comfortable (how I can not help, but blow away on every chip on my left! the price was good, not excessively expensive, imagine, it is much more busy in summer than a wet novembernacht. I would return if in the opposite yes, as good value, delicious in good clean environment!"

Essen war lecker; Bedienung freundlich aber langsam; Portionsgröße gerade noch okay, eher klein; Preis dafür eher groß

Just an ordinary German restaurant that provide local food. Nothing is to shout about. Food is OK. Not too bad but not that good either.

We hebben hier met 37 personen 2 avonden gedineerd. Dat was prima. Goede service, heerlijk eten, goede bediening. Alles liep op rolletjes. View menu

The evening menu featured beautifully prepared local cuisine. The service was excellent and the wine choices matched each course perfectly. thanks to the good advice to wait staff). The room is small and comfortable.

This restaurant is located in the town centre of Saarburg, so you have to expect some walking (you can not park in front of the door). This is not a typical touristical trap, you will receive there a good local/German meal for an affordable price,...even if it's not cheap. Service is very polite and friendly. Nothing to complain about. View menu

"My son and I were staying at the Hotel, and decided to have dinner here after a long day exploring.First, the service: Probably the most warm, friendly service we have had anywhere in Europe during our 2 week "mini grand tour. Although her English was a little rusty, she couldn't have been nicer to two Americans with almost no German. What a pleasant surprise. We each had the €40 Regional specialty menu, and it was superb. Started with a chef's gift of carpacchio and fresh melon, which was sublime, as was the basket of brot. The entree (appetizer) was a fantastiche salad with marinated artichoke hearts, white asparagus (local specialty), an incredible piece of salmon, and a garnish of crab meat. Out of this world. For the main course we each had the schnitzel, served with buttered parsley potatoes and more white asparagus. I've had scnitzle at Zum Schwartzen Kameel in Vienna, which is supposed to be the best in Europe, bit the Saarrburger Hof eclipsed it. Truly remarkable.Dessert was a plate with an assortment of treats, including local cheese, vanilla ice cream, a small slice of gingerbread cake with a sumptuous sauce, fresh berries, and a blended fruit parfait. We started the meal with Bittburger bier and had a lovely local wine with the entrees and main courses. Total bill was €105 including service which qualifies as a steal. A truly memorable meal and evening."
