"We went for Sunday lunch. The building itself oozes history. We had read the reviews so were not expecting great food or service but actually the waitress was very friendly, polite and helpful. Food took a little while to come but not too long. There was plenty of it but that's about all we could say. My fish pie had been microwaved to within an inch of its life. Mum in law (90) asked what the funny grey stuff was on her plate. We laughed when we realised it had once been red cabbage. The rest of the food normal Sunday lunch was average. All that said, we didn't go away hungry and the bill for 5 of us came to £60 including drinks. Worth going just to see the pub itself though."

we were wet cold after spending a few hours at Fort Tilbury and decided to have lunch at World's End. The pub owner greeted us the moment we stepped in the door and spoke with us throughout our meal, telling us all about the...

Stopped here for lunch after a visit to Tilbury Fort. We had sandwiches on white crusty bread which was chunky fresh slices of bread. All fillings were extensive and we all thought tasty. Also had some drinks. Happy with what we had.

We went across on the ferry from Gravesend, really just for a close up view of the cruise ship at the Tilbury Terminal, and decided to stroll along to the World’s End for a drink. Once there, we decided to make it “lunch”, and chose...

Hadn"t visited the pub for a couple of years. Used to love going there many years ago. Was having a walk past the Fort and stopped for a drink. Has been done up nicely. Staff very pleasant. Beers and menu looked good. Will be trying...

It was a Saturday lunchtime, and very, very busy. We were served at the bar reasonably quickly, but they had run out of quite a few things. No sparkling water either. And the bar staff seemed ignorant of prices, and had to run to the till...

I agree with some of the the other reviews that this place needs an update, better organised staff and better quality food. We waited a long time for our lunch and there were several mistakes with it even though the waitress had written down what...

Been going there for over 20 years on and off. In fact, it is where I proposed to my wife! Perfect location right next to Tilbury fort and 500 meters from the London cruise terminal. Very interesting old building from early nineteen hundreds. Good food,...

Why do pubs not cater for drivers, the only alcohol free drinks were coke, lemonade, j2o’s etc, one alcohol free beer, no apple juice or alcohol free ciders, this pub is only really available to drivers as its distance from town is really not walkable. Pubs should in this day and age allow for non drinkers to get buisness
