"We had decided to eat German food wherever possible on our recent holiday. While in Tuebingen we eventually chose the Wurstkueche because of the range of Swabian dishes. A week later I can only go by the bill to check what we ate: a Schnitzel, a Waldhaeuser and a Zipfl, all of which were adequate but not memorable. The son munched his way through his main course and his first Apfelstrudel of the trip - the custard was delicious. The location is very pretty, the service was somewhat erratic (forgotten cutlery) and the food somewhat overpriced for the standard. Three main courses, a dessert, drinks and a bottle of mineral water came to €70."

Our waitress did everything she could to help us. Food great! Sat outside and was a wonderful experience!

I really enjoyed my meal and beer here. Freshly cooked and delicious meal, accompanied with a house brew.

We tried to eat here - but the main host just throw us out. He did not want to neither accept a reservation nor let us wait at the bar or outside. He was rude and arrogant. Never ever again.

We ate lunch here on a delightful sunny spring day. Extensive menu and a good choice of beer. Friendly and attentive staff. We had maultaschen and salad and it was all very tasty, fresh and well prepared. Be prepared to speak a little German.

It is a nice place to go and the service is very polite, used to international guests and tourists but the food quality is not making it up to that. Hope it improves again! Anyway a good insight in south-german food and language. Do a reservation for a groups.

Nice traditional German restaurant with hearty food and beer from stone mugs. I like it here! I also like the free Schnaps at the end. Only negative thing might be that you barely get a table without reservation and the atmosphere turns really hectic quickly. The owner is very nice but you can tell that you shouldn't hang around too long after your Schnaps to make room for new guests. That can feel a little awkward.

We ordered Spätzle with cheese. The meal was probably cooked the day before and warmed up shortly before the service. Moreover, they were for sure frozen. Frozen were also the two schnitzel, served with too much butter. The roast potatoes, served with too much butter, too, were also cooked a couple of days before and warmed up for the service. In two we spent 45€. The only good thing is the location. We will not come back.

Yes, the menu is good, lots of choices, but the quality is getting worth since years. 2 times I have got a hair in my soup. Oh..... After long discussion with the waiter the soup was taken away and I still had to pay for it. In which year do we leave?!Few times the stake was extremely salty and I am the person who can't taste the salt in the food only when it is salty like the water in the Dead Sea. The waiters are tired and unfriendly most of the time. The area is nice. It is decorated in traditional style. Removing the dust could be a nice thing. And for all that you will get a fat bill.

We came here for a late lunch (around 4 PM) last Saturday. There were nine people at our reserved long table at the end of the dining room. Outside and inside traditional a traditional "cozy" style prevailed. Inside were tables, comfortable chairs, lots of wood, and a relaxed mix of customers (students and older people). There was no "canned" music and conversation was easy. The service was very good. My husband and I split a dish of Fleischküchle (2 large meatballs), Spätzle (noodles), and a salad. The portions were big. Others in our group had Linsen with Wurst. Maultaschen (filled pasta), Apple Cake.
