"If the weather is good, this is a lovely, characterful place to sit outdoors and enjoy the surroundings as you eat your lunch. Signs inform you that the building dates from 1300 when it was a communal kitchen where pilgrims could rest and eat before crossing to the island of Bardsey. The lunches we ordered were great they came out quickly, were generous portions with fresh tasty ingredients. I ordered coronation chicken sandwiches 4 sandwiches came out with a colourful salad. My husband ordered a panini and that was also a success. It began to rain and we needed to finish our lunch indoors, which doesn’t have the same appeal being a bit cluttered and unloved. But if you can get an outdoor table here, it’s a great option."

My wife and I called in for lunch after walking part of the coastal path. We both ordered the crab salad and coffees.

Stopped here for quick lunch. Crab soup and toasty both very tasty. Coffee was hot which makes a difference from most restaurants. Well worth a visit

A nice little cafe with plenty of outside and some inside tables. Cream teas are delicious and not bad at £4.95 for one. Food is delicious and the homemade cakes look delicious. View menu

This place dates as far back as 1300 when it fed the pilgrims travelling to Bardsey Island. We sat outside on a gloriously sunny day. We had crab soup with local fresh bread 10/10. Then dressed crab salad. Absolutely wonderful! The coffee was also very good.

This cafe has its origins in the pilgrim traffic of ancient times. We were tempted to stop her as they we advertising crab sandwiches.Unfortunately, the was no crab available. All gone! We stayed and ate from the variety of other sandwiches and paninis. An enjoyable stop. View menu

Because of recent bad weather the local fishermen had not been able to take to sea so my wife was very disappointed when told that the crab had been sold out. However we did enjoy the other food that was on offer. The place is currently up for sale so if you fancy buying an historic café in North Wales now's your chance!

Once again, we visited this cafe for a relaxing, refreshing afternoon tea and once again, we were not disappointed The cafe is warm, welcoming and typically quaint. The staff are friendly and the service is great. There is downstairs and upstairs seating both indoor and outdoors and easily accessible. This is a dog-frindly cafe too. The cream tea consists of a fruit scone, jam, clotted cream and a slice of Bara Brith with butter and a pot of tea. Perfect! Hope to find it unchanged on our return visit next year as the cafe s currently up for sale.
