Lively, charming, and full of personality. The food and service were outstanding. The location was excellent and the decor was fantastic. The food was also top-notch.

Looking for Sunday lunch in Kendal and all we see is closed pubs. Eventually find this pub and what a find. Great pint of Hobgoblin and very tasty roast beef lunch. Bit slow on service but we weren't in a hurry once we had our drinks.

My fish and chips were freshly cooked and very tasty. I loved the home made tarter sauce too. My husband said his pie was delicious. The service was friendly, courteous and efficient. Lighting and ambience was good and everywhere was clean. I look forward to visiting again

Lovely pub and restaurant with a dog-friendly atmosphere, which was a plus. The menu offered a wonderful selection of delicious dishes to choose from, and the dessert was also very impressive. It was the perfect spot to recharge after our walk to Kendal. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

fantastic pub, a real gem. what a local pub should be. for a pint and a fast sandwich fought, ended again for tee. I had a very big and tasty plow. the merciful said that they had no sinking, but would add a few other bitsit, was huge, probably the best plow I had. my partner had a curry and really enjoyed it. Visited for lunch today and this place did not disappoint. Excellent fresh food, very tasty and big portion. The burger was one of the best I've tasted and the Cajun Chicken Cheese Baguette was packed full and delicious. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Not the cheapest of lunches but I always say you get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it. will visit again. View menu
