"Three different vegetarian set meals available- we tried the one that was vegan. Starter was crispy tofu, pancakes hoisin sauce. Quite tasty but only 2 pancakes each. Then some deep fried mini spring roll things which were very greasy and not much filling inside. Mains were a tofu dish (meant to be crispy but wasn’t), some stir fry vegetables (lacked flavour) and sweet and sour mushrooms (actually pretty nice). It’s great this place has veggie/vegan options on the menu but the food quality is only average. Friendly staff and good view of the Chinese arch though. I probably won’t go back."

Great food, not heavy food like other chinese restaurants. Warm and friendly. Real Chinese food as it should be.

I visited her just after Christmas while visiting family in Liverpool. I ordered from the vegan menu and reminded them that I didn’t want egg in my fried rice. They came back moments later and asked if I did t want egg in my main dish (which was on the vegan menu) as it was usually made with egg. It was a tofu and ginger dish which was lovely when it came but I’m glad I mentioned not wanting egg as there was obvious confusion about this being included in vegan dishes.

We knew it as the oldest chinese in Liverpool. Heard good things about it. Our experience was not good. We waited minutes to get our starter. I asked the waitress about our food who didn't even know we hadn't had our starter. The main...courses were watery and lacking flavour. I could taste garlic and spring onion but the ginger was very mild. I couldn't taste the lemon grass. Everything was luke warm. My two friends similarly unimpressed. The soup was just water, not stock. Very disappointing.

This was a booked visit on a cold Friday night in February. I had heard good things about this restaurant but had never been before. The room was clean and looked recently refurbished. Fortunately I was wearing a thick jumper as it was quite cold....Although not particularly busy the service was slow and slapdash. The food took some time to arrive and not at the same time for us four. The mains were not very warm and the portions miniscule.saying that the taste was good. I shall not be returning as there is an abundance of choices in Liverpool Chinatown.
