"Just about one block from the Rhein, this restaurant has a large inside dining area with dark wood tables and padded chairs. They have a large flat screen TV that displays a colorful, tropical ocean sea floor. They also have a large sidewalk seating area...set under trees. Ziegelhof offers desserts, daily, weekly and weekend specials. I had the weekday schnitzel with fries special 7.90€, which also comes with a side salad and a slice of bread. The tender, huge schnitzel for the price, taste and quality was very good. They also have various beverages on the menu. Most customers did not stay long for their meals, so the tables rotated very fast. There is really nothing spectacular about the business, but everything seems to function well for the most part."

Very delicious food, great value for money. Staff was very friendly. Would come back at any time. 4 stars because the toilets could be a little cleaner.

We discovered this place because it was close. It is mostly locals and local food. The staff was fantastic. Try the cordon blue. It is the best you will ever have. Great beer and atmosphere.

This restaurant is located right by a very busy road. We sat outside on a warm evening and the traffic was quite disturbing. However, the food is good, the service was fast and efficient. Would go again. View menu

Super food was really tasty especially also the dessert service was also very friendly and courteous What inspired me was the hygiene program All menu after each guest disinfected tables properly adhered to infected intervals and it all worked well

the beer garden is relaxing, even if it is located on a main street. the inside restaurant is more beautiful than they expect to be and the waiters are very nice. my friend loves the scavengers here and the bratkartoffeln with tweepers and speck is... really good. recommend this place for a hearty meal.

This is a cozy, neighborhood restaurant with a friendly staff and good German food. The Zigeunerspieß, which is a skewer with beef, pork, onions, and potato wedges, is very good. I stayed in Konstanz for several months and wish I had tried this restaurant sooner!...(Note: the Cocktailsauce listed with hamburgers is actually ketchup. View menu

We used to go here often a few years ago and stopped back this year. It is still quite comfortable, and hte service is OK but the menu did not win us over. Maybe we ordered wrong, but the sauteed fish on a salad was...too salty and the salad was way sour (actually not so untypical, but did not work with the fish). My wife had a schnitzle and fries, and it was dull. the amounts of food are quite large and so the price per 100g is not so bad, but that is not what attracts you. The atmosphere on a cold evening was comfortable as usual.

We were staying at the Hotel 47 Grad and chose to dine at Ziegelhof as it was a 5 min walk away. We booked online using their website but when we got there they didn 't have our reservation. Thankfully they had 2 spare tables and...we sat in the garden area. Throughout Konstanz (and Germany) there are a large number of people who like to smoke which can ruin the dining experience but maybe because this restaurant is in the university area we were lucky enough to find that no-one was smoking. The menu was in German but the waitress guided us through it in English. I went for the schnitzel which can be up-sized to the African size. A true monster and well worth the 3 extra Euros. The food was...

"good restaurants aren't strange to me, but this one really impressed. great service and even better eating. prices are actually quite decent for a restaurant with 2 stars. eat very well. it is very creatiw, without being excessive, and the taste combinations work well. our whole table enjoyed everything we had. the chef seems to lend himself sometimes from different ess cultures, but it is subtle and just what the court needs. Whenever I see deaf on the menu in a restaurant, I order them and I must say that the deaf at ophelia was the best I ever had. you just have to try it yourself. the prices were very decent when considering the quality of the restaurant. a 4-course menu cost 120 euro. servicesooo good! we had booked a table for 6 people but were 30 minutes too late. no problem! the staff was very friendly and assured us that the table is waiting for us whenever we come. during eating the waiters were always there, but never unpleasant. all our questions were answered both in German and in English and we felt that the waiters were really passionate about the food they served.ATMOSPHEREEOphelia lacks presumption. it is a fantastic restaurant, but they would look in a beautiful summer dress and with flat shoes not miss at the place. they do not have to dress inconveniently to experience the subtle luxury that ophelia has to offer. we also appreciated that it is a place where relatiw well educated children would feel comfortable. we sat outside on the balcony and it was idyllic. not hot, not cold – just perfect. they have a beautiful view of the lake and are surrounded by nature. I would not only recommend this restaurant, but encourage everyone to visit it!"
