"The quality of our meals was inconsistent; one of the two pasta dishes we ordered was completely flavorless. My own choice, touted as the "hottest pizza on the menu," was disappointingly minimal, lacking flavor and clearly suffering from extreme cost-cutting measures. Despite trying to liven it up with generous amounts of chili oil and black pepper, it still fell flat. Service varied throughout the evening, and unfortunately, I would not choose to return to this restaurant."

Zizzi's on Friar Gate, Derby ... The meal itself was good. I think the service could have been a bit better but those who did serve us were really nice and attentative.

It's a Zizzi restaurant. I've always enjoyed dining at Zizzi, and this visit was no exception. Located in the heart of Derby, the ambiance was quite romantic, complemented by friendly staff and a delicious pizza that perfectly capped off the evening.

Zizzi in Derby exceeds in what is normally excpected from national chains in small towns. The interior is beautiful and atmospheric and the food was lovely. Only downsides were the not-so-liberal Risotto portion sizes and rather lagging service, which could be due to the volume of customers. Overall a positive experience. View menu

We went witha group of 8 and beside the somewhat lagging table service times (busy Friday evening) Zizzi once again managed to deliver great foods all around and superb portions (aside from risottos). The ambience inside is catering both for romantic couples and work outings, staying neutral while still having a character of its own, brillian venue by Derby standards.

Zizzi in the centre of Derby's restaurant area met up to all expectations. Excellent service, a great atmosphere, a good menu and quality, great value food and wine. The Rustica Pizzas are superb though now seem to be lacking in spice heat, which is a shame. Olive and bread platters are great value and the house-wines were truly superb value. A great start to a wonderful evening. Would definitely recommend.
