"I don't normally eat in places that also serve meat, but I was told they had a separate vegan menu and decided to give them a go. I'm glad I did. I had a vegan cheese pizza with various toppings, a pint of beer, and a very tasty chocolate torte with ice cream for dessert. The place was pleasant and the food satisfying. I should note that it was the most expensive place I ate at in Manchester though the other five places (all veggie/vegan) were cheaper. I would eat at Zizzi again, definitely. It was their vegan menu that pulled me in. As an aside, I was with some Italian family. They spoke Italian with one member of staff, assuming he would understand, but he didn't speak Italian. I'm not sure if that was an exception or not, but as a chain it is obviously not quite as Italian as it likes to appear."

Couldn't wait to try the new vegan mozzarella option. Its great to be able to get vegan pizza right in the city centre opposite Piccadilly gardens. I took my kids and we had a great time. Staff were not especially clued up or attentive.

it's nice that there are vegan options, but the vegan pizza is not my favorite I feel like the coconut-based cheese is not good heat retention and goes very quickly cold so they can't finish it before it gets unpleasant. pizza hat makes me think of a better pizza.

I appreciate that this restaurant offers vegan options, but I was not a fan of the vegan pizza. I found that the coconut-based cheese did not retain heat well and quickly became cold, making it difficult to finish before it became unappetizing. Personally, I think Pizza Hut makes a better pizza.

large fan of zizzi vegan menu- from pizza, pasta and salads- it has even vegan desserts and most of the wee on the main menu are vegan bar 2. prices are good for the quality of the meal. I find that the piccadilly garden branch is the best in many, the personal is always friendly and the atmosphere of the place in great.

The vegan menu is great and the pizza is great value for money and delicious. The only downside is that you have to ask for the vegan menu and it isn't advertised at all. I wouldn't have known about it if I didn't have this app/know other vegans. I think it's great that chain restaurants are beginning to offer while vegan menus though.

I had a lot of expectations, since I had read that pizzas were delicious. I ordered a margarita pizza with extra champagne and caramelized onion and a slice of garlic bread. garlic bread disappointed me, porq is like a pizza (the same base) and you're supposed to put a garlic bag on it. But he doesn't really notice anything and seemed to be eating the base as it is. The pizza took a lot and didn't get too much. the cheese (vegan of course) has a watery texture and is quite insidious. the toppings...buf...champis ok, still little quantity and the onion supposedly caramelized, it was onion as rather hard besides, that is, practically crude. to round my review. It's a carillo. I wouldn't come b...

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
